Sabi ni Facebook "what's on my mind? daw"
Well, this is what's on my mind.
"πππ€π₯π‘π π€ππ©ππ£ πππ‘πππ§ππ©π π©ππ π¬π§π€π£π ππππππ«ππ’ππ£π©π¨."
"I just got a promotion at my job, and now I work 60 hours a week instead of 40." π β Everyone congratulates me, saying, "That's amazing! You're climbing the ladder!"
"I just bought a brand new luxury car with a hefty loan." π β People admire it, exclaiming, "Wow, that's incredible! You deserve it!"
"I just bought a big house with a large mortgage." π‘ β Friends cheer, "That's fantastic! You're living the dream!"
Now you're working more, spending more, and accumulating debt, but society praises you because it fits the expected narrative of success.
Now tell those same people you decided to quit your high-paying job to start your own business with your savings...
"Are you crazy?"
"What if it doesn't work?"
"Why would you leave a stable job?"
"Isn't that too risky?"
Society encourages a certain path β Get a job, work hard, buy luxury items, and spend more, even if it means sacrificing time and freedom. Anything outside this norm is seen as risky and unconventional.
Imagine a race where everyone is running in one direction, chasing the same prize. You decide to take a different route, seeking your own unique goal. The crowd watches, puzzled, "Why aren't they following us?"
Be mindful of the influence around you and the voices you listen to. If you want a life that's different from the norm, you need to make choices that others might not understand and find mentors who have walked their own path.
We celebrate overwork and material debt...
But we question entrepreneurial freedom and self-investment. π’
Take courageous steps for yourself and your future. π
