‼𝗕𝗨𝗬 𝗠𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘, 𝗭𝗘𝗥𝗢 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗦 ‼

First, let's dispel any kind of notion that I'm a life guru or some sort of self-help master. I'll say it right now that I don't have the secret sauce or the ultimate formula to solve all your life problems. If that's who you hoped to see, you're in the wrong place.

Who I am, is a person whose intention is to share my knowledge in freelancing, and hopefully help you get started on your journey, and probably more if you stick around long enough.

So now you may wonder, "𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐮𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲"?

I'm trying to say that there are people out there who preach that if you follow their such-and-such ULTIMATE FORMULA that you'll have such-and-such GUARANTEED RESULTS. Which is a load of Bullsh-t, considering

𝗔: Everybody leads different lives and their circumstances are unique to each
𝗕: People have different learning curves and how they deal with situations vary

So please, I beg you. If you ever come across anyone saying that if you buy or invest in their program then you'll be swimming in money after the whole thing, just do a 180 degrees, run and never look back. Cause these guys will sell you a dream and show you some proof of their "income" when those numbers probably represent the number of people who've fallen for their trap and bought their garbage, copy-pasted material.

While I do say all this, THERE ARE HELPFUL CONTENT CREATORS out there whose content has a lot of value and most importantly, they're free for you to consume, and honestly, I aspire to be one of them.

What I'm trying to get across here is:

Be very careful who you choose to learn from. Online personalities and what they say are guides, not instructions. Move at your own pace and never let anyone sway you from the path you're meant to take, and always remember that you are your own person and your way to success is unique only to you.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴?🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Freelancing is not without its risks. You get dishonest clients from time to time. Sometimes, things just fall apart and a project which you thought would last a while suddenly gets dissolved without notice.

But hear me out, there's this old saying that everyone in the entreprenurial space has used and abused.

"The amount of risk and stress you can handle determines your level of wealth"

Let me break it down:
⭕. You get paid when you solve problems.

⭕. The bigger the problems you solve the more money you make.

⭕. You need to have a hell lot of stress tolerance to solve big problems.

Simply watch an intereview from ANY successful figure you know. The Facebook guy,The Tesla Guy, The Apple guy, The Microsoft Guy. It's sometimes scary how they portray their journey to the TOP, it's like they almost traded their soul to get where they are. IT IS HARD and RISKY.

In spite all this. Do you know what the best part is?

FREELANCING DOESN'T HAVE TO BE RISKY. You don't need to switch from your day job and jump straight into it. You don't need to go all in right from the start.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜?

❓Is it hard?

❓Is it even possible for me?

❓Can I cut corners?

❓What's the fastest way to do it?

Lots of questions are in our heads, but usually, the answer is right under our nose.

Through my studies, I learned that the answer to most things we thought to be complex is grounded in observing ourselves, especially when it comes to human behavior.

All you have to do is change the way you ask these questions and construct them through the lens of your own perspective.

Questions like:

"How can I get hired?" can be changed to "What criteria do these people need from me?" or "If I were the interviewer, why would I hire someone for this role?".

Zoom out, change angle, repeat until it makes sense.

Of course, this is not the "end-all, be-all" model of thinking for every situation. Things vary in complexity, and sometimes your mental treasury has gaps that still need to be filled for your brain to connect the dots.

So, what am I saying here?

As complex as things can be, there is always a level of simplicity where you can start taking action. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙉𝙊𝙒.

So going by these literal definitions, a freelancer is a person who has:

1. Independence of action/decision
2. Freedom to choose who to work with/where to work

I say, to put it in simpler terms Freelancing is a service business where you are the boss, the manager, the worker, and your skills are the product. You will take all the risks and do all the work, but you will reap all the REWARDS.

Now the concept is easy, but the problem with having the freedom to choose, is the act of choosing itself.

Questions like:

❗Where do I start?
❗Which path/niche do I take?
❗What plans should I make?
