Educational Tour by SBAA 2024
Going on an educational tour is a wonderful part of every student's experience as they grow up. A field trip allows children to essentially learn outside the school grounds and walk through their own adventures, wherein they will be able to explore and enjoy the chances of learning new things. Our dear St. Bridget's students have gained this achievement as they participated in St. Bridget Academy of Antipolo's 2024 Educational Field Trip!
The students first visited the Museum of El Deposito, located in San Juan, Metro Manila, which features the Carriedo water system, including the El Deposito underwater reservoir. This museum was built by the Spanish authorities in 1882 with a capacity of 15 million gallons to provide the residents of Manila and its surrounding areas with an adequate water supply. The museum was closed for the preparation of the site as a tourist spot in 2018 and was reopened to the public recently, in 2021. In addition, the museum in El Deposito holds the creativity and wisdom of the Filipinos in the Spanish Era. The students have enjoyed capturing amazing features from the tunnel and have taken a huge step toward acknowledging the history of our beloved country.
The next destination was the "Museo ng Katipunan." The museum features artifacts that relate to Bonifacio's secret society and the Katipunan. The museum includes documents such as cedulas, oaths, and membership forms, as well as medals, anting-anting, and weapons used by the "Katipuneros." This is a great place to learn about history for everyone, with the visuals narrating the events that occurred in the Philippine Revolution, making it more alive. This museum motivates everyone, especially the SBAA students, to be future leaders because we, the Filipinos, have carried a strong nation as shown in our history.
And lastly, the final destination for the SBAA's tour was the Enchanted Kingdom, a huge theme park surrounded by great attractions and activities that gave the students such an extreme sense of excitement and joy! EK is the first and only world-class theme park in the country, with similarities to Disneyland. In this place, the students have encountered many challenges, such as overcoming their fear of going on extreme rides, learning to be independent by taking care of themselves, surviving the horror booths, and many more! This place lets the students see new things and realize the true value of exploring with confidence; with this, we can achieve more wisdom in life.
The educational tour conducted by SBAA made a memorable time for the students, for it did not only allow the students to go out of their comfort zone; it also made them appreciate the art of learning and that it is fun and important by the end of the day.
