Philippine Museum Congress 2025: A Privilege and a Proud Moment

I had the honor of representing Baguio Tourism Council Chairperson Gladys Vergara during the opening ceremonies of the Philippine Museum Congress 2025, held on October 7, 2025, at Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza. Themed “A Voyage to the Future of Museums: New Technologies, Culture, Economics, Youth Involvement, and Greening Museums,” the four-day event brought together museum professionals, cultural workers, artists, and advocates from across the country to reimagine the future of Philippine museums.

Delivering Chairperson Vergara’s opening remarks and congratulatory message was a privilege. On her behalf, I shared the Baguio Tourism Council’s unwavering support for initiatives that nurture cultural heritage, promote sustainability, and encourage innovation within the creative sector. As Chairperson Vergara emphasized, the BTC believes that museums play a vital role not just in preserving the past but also in shaping a more creative, connected, and forward-looking future for our communities.

It was also a meaningful experience to spend time with National Artist for Film, Tatay Kidlat Tahimik, whose passion for culture and storytelling continues to inspire many. His message reminded everyone that museums are living spaces that are constantly evolving, learning, and telling new stories of who we are as Filipinos.

Equally heartwarming was the chance to meet and chat with some museum stakeholders from across the country and my fellow content creator, Sir Silver, also known as Ibadoya, who represented Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas during the program. Conversations like these remind us that collaboration, not competition, drives the creative community forward.

The Philippine Museum Congress 2025 was a celebration of innovation, sustainability, and cultural unity, proof that when heritage and creativity come together, we chart a brighter, greener, and more connected future for Philippine museums.

Cordilleran Hunks Beyond the Spotlight

When we see our Cordilleran hunks take the stage, it’s easy to admire their striking looks, well-built physiques, and undeniable confidence. But beyond the perfect bodies they carry with pride lies something much greater, their discipline, talent, and the cultural heritage they represent.

Our Cordilleran talents are not just ushers at events or bearers of trophies. Many of them are titleholders of prestigious pageants and competitions, proving that they have the skill, intelligence, and determination to excel. Each one is a story of hard work, perseverance, and cultural pride that deserves far more recognition than mere appearances.

Let us celebrate them not only for the images they project but for the depth they bring, leaders in their fields, advocates of heritage, and role models for the youth. True respect means looking past the surface and recognizing the passion, dedication, and heart that make our Cordilleran hunks genuine champions.

Because in the end, what they showcase most proudly is not just their physique but the enduring pride of being Cordilleran.💪🏻

The stage came alive with an opening production featuring the vibrant performances of the University of the Cordilleras Dance Company and Dance Squad, the Saeng Ya Kasay Cultural Ensemble, and the UC Chorale, showcasing the rich cultural traditions of the Cordillera region.

UPDATE: Homebased na pala sila. One of the best Xiao Long Bao in Baguio City!💯

Found this newly opened cozy spot in the City of Pines serving one of the best local Xiao Long Bao (XLB) with homemade sauce na natikman ko. Saan ito? Sa XLB Cafe!😉

Perfect din at must-try yung Xiao Long Bao (XLB) chocolate nila!!

Masarap din yung version nila ng Lo Mien with black vinegar and other condiments.👌🏻 They also have Soto Yam, Pad Thai, rice meals like Beef Rendang and more!!

For their drinks, we tried their hot Blue Pea Tea na swak sa maulang panahon and their Milo Milk with Chocolate Foam na sakto ang tamis at lasa. They also have other refreshers, coffee and non-coffee drinks.

I'm sure natatakam na din kayo at gusto niyo na itong matry kaya ischedule na ang food trip with your favorite persons and head over to our newest discovery. Siguradong magugustuhan niyo din dito! See you mga kaadventure!😉
