𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, we come together in heartfelt thanksgiving for our Baccalaureate Mass—a sacred pause before the celebration of our graduation, where we acknowledge the hands that guided, supported, and strengthened us throughout our journey.

The Baccalaureate Mass is our offering – a chance to give up all the worries and fears about the future and rely on the grace of God to move further with confidence.

Within the four walls of Sto. Niño de Praga Church, prayers are being uttered, hearts are humbling themselves, and achievements are being dedicated to the one who enabled all of us to reach where we stand today.

Sitting quietly amidst all the thoughts about everything that we've been through during the years at school, we are thanking ourselves for having faith and being strong enough to fight and achieve our goals. Today is the time when we thank our Creator for all the power, inspiration, and guidance He gave us.

With thankful hearts and hopeful spirits, we entrust our next chapter to God, believing that our journey does not end here but simply unfolds into something greater.

On 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟬𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the Gateways Institute of Science and Technology - Antipolo campus held Friday mass for March, headed by the 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗩𝗢𝗖 students, marking an important tradition for the community. The mass drew together students, staff, and faculty as they felt the presence of God.

This gathering became the way of reconnecting with their faith and reminding everyone of the sense of gratitude. The gathering was vibrant yet solemn, serving as an eye-opener that, amid the hustle of academic life.

𝘿𝙪𝙜𝙤 𝙉𝙖 𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙈𝙤, 𝙋𝙖𝙜-𝙖𝙨𝙖 𝙉𝙜 𝘽𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙮 𝙆𝙤

Every year, we hold a bloodletting activity at GIST Antipolo Campus to save lives and show love and care to others. It is really important to highlight the importance of being resilient and kind—we, as people, should unite as one.

This bloodletting activity happened from November 28 to 29, 2025. In partnership with the Red Cross Philippines, with the initiative of Gateways Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) school director, Mr. Jose Montenegro, to continue his advocacy of helping others in need.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the generosity and kindness of our donors—it may be "a little thing" to others, but it's actually a big help. Thank you for sharing the gift of life. This isn't just donating blood; we are also giving others another hope to continue fighting in their lives and to light up their purpose.

So all our donors, thank you! You are all such heroes. It will make a tremendous difference to patients and families in need—we're one step closer to making a huge impact on our community's health.

Let's continue to be compassionate by giving care to people. Your selflessness is something others will really treasure—continue to be a good example and influence for others.

HIGHLIGHTS | HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

A courage to face injustice and to stand up against the odds — that’s the bravery that humanity has shown since the time of our ancestors. When they saw people’s rights being violated, they didn’t just stay quiet. They shouted and spoke up, ready to fix the broken system of society because they knew they needed to do something. They fought for their happiness regardless of their nationalities. They didn’t let their colors, religion, or s*x bind them away from the freedom, equality, and respect that they deserved. And that’s how we achieved having a Human Rights Day.

On the 10th of December, we celebrate Human Rights Day, declared in 1948 by the United Nations General Assembly. It honors the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). It reminds us of the bravery that our ancestors showed to the world just to be recognized as equal, just to receive the rights that should have been theirs from the start. Let’s honor the sacrifices that they made so we can live in a world where the rights of every human are protected. These rights that we have didn’t just happen overnight — they were the result of the efforts of humanity in fighting against the stereotypes that bound them.

The community wouldn’t be the same without the recognition of human rights. It shaped the way we live our lives today. Human Rights Day is not just a holiday; it’s an honor to remember how people fought because they knew what they deserved, what they should have, and what they should receive and these should not be limited by our origin. Remember, no one should feel less than their worth.

Let’s use Human Rights Day to spread the message and remind everyone that their rights are not a privilege, they are the bare minimum that every human being should have and should receive in their life. Let’s open our hearts and minds to a world where discrimination is not allowed. Let’s not normalize feeling less than who we truly are.

𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙀𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙉𝙊𝙒 | Saving Lives Together: GIST Antipolo to Launch Annual Bloodletting Activity

Students, teachers, and community members are gathered today at Gateways Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Antipolo Campus, to participate in this bloodletting activity.

We never know; maybe someone is crying right now, hoping, praying, and wishing for their healing. By donating, we are giving them hope and another chance to endure the life given to them.

If you haven't donated yet, you can drop by here at GIST, Antipolo Campus (2nd floor). This two-day blood donation will happen until 4:00 pm today and will start again tomorrow at 7:00 am and continue until 4:00 pm.

We are sending a heartfelt thank you and appreciation for those who are willing to donate; your simple act of kindness is a big help! 🩸

Saving Lives Together: GIST Antipolo to Launch Annual Bloodletting Activity

The GIST Antipolo community is set to conduct its Annual Bloodletting Activity on November 28–29, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the GIST Main Building. This event aims to encourage students, parents, and community members to take part in a meaningful effort that can help save lives.

The blood donation activity is open to individuals 18 to 60 years old who are in good health, well-rested, weigh at least 50 kg, and have had no alcohol intake prior to donation. Those who have had tattoos or piercings within the past six months are temporarily ineligible. Meanwhile, 16- to 17-year-old donors may participate provided they submit parental consent along with a photocopy of a valid ID of their parent or guardian.

For safety reasons, individuals who are feeling unwell, pregnant, menstruating, or have recently undergone surgery, infection, or any blood-related condition are advised not to donate.

Blood donation remains essential in medical care, providing immediate support for patients in emergencies, major surgeries, and chronic illnesses. A single donation can be separated into several components, allowing it to help multiple individuals in need. Because blood supplies have a limited shelf life, regular donations are crucial in helping hospitals maintain adequate and life-saving reserves.

Through this initiative, GIST continues to promote health awareness and community involvement. By donating blood—even through the simplest act—every participant contributes to giving hope and extending life to those who need it most.
