Cagayan State UniversityโAparri Campus conferred degrees and titles to 1,287 graduates during its 48th Academic Convocation for the Conferment of Degrees and Titles held on May 29, 2026, at the CSUโAparri Gymplex.
Bearing the theme, โLeading with Integrity, Innovating with Purpose,โ the academic convocation recognized the achievements of the Class of 2026 and highlighted the universityโs commitment to producing graduates equipped with competence, integrity, and innovation.
The graduation rites were conducted in two batches. Batch 1 comprised graduates from the Graduate School (GS), College of Teacher Education (CTE), College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS), and College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CBEA). Batch 2 included graduates from the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (CFAS), College of Hospitality Management (CHM), and College of Industrial Technology (CIT).
Dr. Policarpio L. Mabborang Jr., ASEAN Engr., Campus Executive Officer, formally presented the 1,287 candidates for graduation, consisting of 306 graduates from CICS, 155 from CTE, 156 from CIT, 83 from CFAS, 124 from CCJE, 308 from CHM, and 155 from CBEA.
Prof. Dr. Arthur G. Ibaรฑez, ASEAN Engr., CESE, OIC University President, delivered the Charge to the Graduates, urging the Class of 2026 to remain grounded in faith, uphold the values instilled by the university, and pursue excellence in service to God, country, and humanity.
โGo forth with courage, go forth with honor, and go forth as proud products of Cagayan State University.โ
Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis, PhD, Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Chair of the CSU Board of Regents, served as commencement speaker and encouraged the graduates to pursue greater aspirations, maximize their potential, and remain confident in their ability to excel regardless of their background.
โDon't be afraid to dream big. Huwag ninyong isipin na nanggaling kayo dito sa Aparri, Cagayan. Ang isipin ninyo ay mas magaling kayo kahit kanino man.โ
Meanwhile, Krisha A. Publico, Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program and Batch 2026 Valedictorian, delivered the Valedictory Address, reflecting on the resilience, perseverance, and growth that shaped the graduating class throughout their academic journey.
โThe future may be uncertain, but this journey has made us stronger,โ Publico said as she encouraged her fellow graduates to face the future with courage, purpose, and optimism.
Josephmar N. Tolvo, Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries program, delivered the Address of Thanks on behalf of the graduating class, emphasizing gratitude, empathy, and service as values that should guide graduates beyond the university.
โA grateful person becomes helpful,โ Tolvo remarked, underscoring the importance of giving back to those who have contributed to one's success.
The 48th Academic Convocation concluded with the conferment of degrees and titles to the Class of 2026, officially welcoming the graduates into the growing community of CSU alumni.
