R.O, D.O Officials visit LNHS

Officials from the Regional Office of Cordillera and the Schools Division Office of Apayao visited Luna National High School (LNHS) on September 4.

The said visitation mainly aimed to monitor programs of the school on sports and Learner's Rights Protection (LRP) concerns.

Moreover, Dr. Leslyn dela Cruz -Medical Officer III of SDO-Apayao conducted the monitoring of school health programs.

Furthermore, Clark Sotero, RO's School Sports Focal and Georgette C. Gumabay, Technical Assistant 1 on Sports, assessed the school's Sports Club through an interview with Jerome Pulido, the designated School's Sports Coordinator.

In addition, Dalton S. Telido, Project Development Officer 2 under Education Support Services Division and Grace M. Delos Reyes , PDO 1 of Apayao discussed the LRP with Dr. Imelda A. Burigsay, the school principal.

Lastly, Ricarda Benito - Personnel of DepEd Apayao and Ly Shema Nebalasca of the R.O also talked about the school's clinic and other health concerns with Rachelie V. Rivera, the school nurse.

Aerius triumphs against Knights in Badminton Men's Double Category

Vrylle Tubang and Frodie Mark Sibayan of Aerius team(Grade 8 -yellow) won against Elrich James Blas and Gian Dela Cruz of Knights team(Grade 7- green) in Badminton Men's Double category, on September 5, 2025 at Barangay Lappa, Luna, Apayao.

As the play started, Tubang and Sibayan showed their powerful smashes while Blas and Dela Cruz gave their best to defend, with the score of 21-18 and 21-14

Through exceptional teamwork and unwavering determination, Tubang and Sibayan claimed the victory, bringing pride to their team.

LNHS opens Intramurals 2025

The Luna National High School officially opened its Intramurals today at the school’s mini-gymnasium with high energy from students and faculty.

Lency Hace T. Arellano, PTA President, reiterated on her speech the spirit of sportsmanship and reminded the student-athletes to be careful with their health. She also emphasized to avoid vices because their health is their investment.

Barell James Pablo, a Palarong Pambansa gymnast, led the symbolic lighting of the torch, representing unity and sportsmanship among participants while Catherine Regunay, also a Palarong Pambansa athlete, in the Oath of Amateurism.

Jerome A. Pulido, the school’s Sports Coordinator formally open the said event.

Jeaneth Mae T. Llantada, HT 1, also emphasized the value of discipline and fair play in all sporting events.

“Whether you win or lose, the important thing is you played fairly and showed discipline in your respective events,” she said.

The opening ceremony highlighted the school’s commitment in promoting camaraderie, healthy competition, and active participation among students.

Grade 12 Students of Luna National High School showcased their skills, creativity, and passion during the culminating activity of Grade 12 PE 3 HOPE, with the theme “The Evolution of Dance.” Guided by their teacher, Jerome A. Pulido, the event highlighted the history and transformation of dance through various eras and styles.

LNHS' Student Organizations and PTA officers take oath of office

Officers from various student organizations and the Parents-Teachers Association(PTA) of Luna National High School (LNHS) took oath last Friday, August 29 at the school's mini- gymnasium.

The different organizations of the school includes the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG ), Youth for Environmental School- Organization ( YES-O), Barkada Kontra Droga(BKD), Peer Support Group (PSG),Literary Guild and Sports Officers.

Hon. Reynaldo Anapen, Punong Barangay of Turod lead the oath taking ceremony.

The said activity was conducted before the formal start of the Search for the school's Lakan and Lakambini.

With new roles and responsibilities given to the said individuals, they are set to make positive impacts for the school's continuous progress and for the students as well.
