LNHS holds welcome and send-off Ceremony

The Luna National High School held a welcome and send-off ceremony on June 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the school gym to honor outgoing Head Teacher III Ma. Teresa M. Bermudez and welcome the new Head Teacher I,Jeaneth Mae T. Llantada.

Imelda A. Burigsay, PhD, the school head introduced the new head teacher, who shared her acceptance message. Teachers and Dr. Burigsay also gave messages of thanks, showing support during the leadership change.

Ma. Teresa M. Bermudez gave her farewell message and ended with a heartfelt song that touched the audience.

A musical performance by Elaiza Belle Tugaoen and Bernard Perdido entertained the crowd. The event was hosted by Arjay Cerezo, one of the teachers.

CAR is Read-a-Thon Filipino–Bidyokasiya Champion!

The Province of Apayao congratulates Kristina Mikaela Figuerres and Coach Jhonlee D. Baletbet of Luna National High School (LNHS), SDO Apayao, for winning the Championship in the Read-a-Thon Filipino – Bidyokasiya category at the 2025 National Festival of Talents (NFOT) held in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

LNHS marks First Marilag Beauty Pageant

In celebration of Women’s Month, Luna National High School (LNHS) hosted the Marilag Beauty Pageant with the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas” at the school’s gymnasium on March 28.

The celebration was spearheaded by Ma. Teresa M. Bermudez, Head Teacher III, who is an advocate for Mental Health among Teachers.

The event concluded with Mary Jane Balleras, the Science and Math Department representative, winning the Marilag 2025 title.

Aside from this, Balleras also won the Best Filipiniana Attire title.

Among her opponents were Arnold Domingo (a.k.a. Maria) of the Language Department, Emmalyn Pedronan of the Makabayan Department, and Imelda Burigsay of the Non-Teaching Department.

Pedronan won the Best Casual and CorporateAttire and Best in Talent titles while Burigsay garnered the Most Articulate award.

Adding depth into the event, Shiela Thelma Dacumos, Administrative Supervising Officer of the Provincial General Services Office, acted as the speaker and emphasized the Role of Women in the Society based from her experiences.

As Dacumos stated, “Women are the key to building a stronger and more productive future for the Philippines.”

LNHS Guides Grade 10 Students to Future Careers

Luna National High School (LNHS) hosted a Career Guidance event today at the LNHS Gymnasium for Grade 10 students.

School Head Imelda A. Burigsay and Peer Support Group adviser Novelyn Cate B. Fayre led discussions on career planning.

As part of the event, Eunice Ramos, dressed as a flight attendant won Best Female Attire, while Joerenz Dela Cruz, portraying a seaman won Best Male Attire.

The activity encouraged students to explore various career options through positive interaction.

It provided them with valuable ideas and inspiration for their future choices.

LNHS seeks to inspire students to have clear career aspirations and plan to continue conducting similar activities for career exploration.

BFP invites G9 students for Open House on Fire Prevention Month

In observance of Fire Prevention Month, the Bureau of Fire Protection is conducting a series of activities aimed at raising community awareness about fire safety and prevention.

As part of this initiative, the Bureau warmly invites the Grade 9 Gold students to an Open House on March 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM, taking place at Luna Fire Station.

FO1 Ivy Gugui S. Gamos and FO1 Ronagine M. Combiri lead the demonstration of the usage of equipments to he used during a fire.

Meanwhile, FO2 Dan Aesopo C. Olivas and FO1 Godfrey Aizel Hurtado were also there to assess in the event.

This event promises to be an informative opportunity for students to learn about fire safety measures and engage with fire safety professionals.

Dyna Beth A. Rosario and Junelle Richee Pacis Tagle , accompanied the learners.
