Harriet Sperling paid a touching tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II on her wedding day through a subtle detail hidden within her bridal bouquet.
The newlywed married Peter Phillips, the late Queen's grandson, on Saturday in Gloucestershire, carrying a carefully chosen arrangement of flowers that honoured both royal tradition and family heritage.
Alongside her elegant wedding gown, Harriet carried a bouquet featuring sweet peas, myrtle and lily of the valley, created by florist Millie Richardson.
According to reports, the inclusion of myrtle held special significance. A spokesperson for the couple explained that the flower is a long-standing tradition for both Harriet's family and the royal family. Myrtle is often associated with love, beauty and peace and has featured in royal bridal bouquets for generations.
However, it was another flower that caught the attention of royal watchers. Harriet also included lily of the valley, a flower famously loved by the late Queen Elizabeth.
Florist Millie Richardson told The Telegraph that the blooms were chosen as part of a soft, romantic arrangement. The bouquet also featured cream sweet peas, jasmine and astilbe, creating what Richardson described as a "bowl of cream" effect.
The thoughtful floral choice added an extra layer of meaning to Peter and Harriet's wedding day, with many royal fans viewing it as a quiet nod to Queen Elizabeth's memory.
For a wedding steeped in family tradition, Harriet's bouquet proved to be one of the most sentimental details of the day.
