Some teachers leave us with lessons to remember, but some leave us with the feeling that we are worth remembering, too. And that’s one of the things that makes you so special.

You have this sweetness that makes students feel comfortable being themselves, and somehow, you remember the little things—the names, the faces, the moments, even the students who have already moved on to another chapter.

It’s easy to say that a teacher cares, but it feels different when you can actually see it in the way you remember your students. Years may pass, classes may change, and new faces may come along, but the fact that you still carry memories of the students you’ve taught is something we’ll always appreciate.

Thank you for being the kind of teacher whose kindness doesn’t feel forced, whose smile can brighten an ordinary school day, and whose students never feel like they were simply another name on the attendance sheet.

In a school full of voices, it means a lot to have a teacher who takes the time to listen to them. You’re the kind of teacher who doesn’t simply hear what students have to say—you actually give them the space to speak, explain, and be understood.

Whether it’s a concern, a random thought, a question, or something we simply need to get off our chest, you never make us feel like we’re wasting your time. You listen first, understand, and make us feel that what we say matters.

Sometimes, students don’t really need an immediate answer. They just need someone willing to listen. And thank you for being that person for many of us.

Thank you, Sir Joven, for making your students feel heard, respected, and valued. Your willingness to listen may seem like a small thing, but to a student who needs someone to understand, it can mean so much.

𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲,

There are teachers who teach you, teachers who guide you, and then there are teachers who make you feel like someone will always stand up for you when you need it. And you are that kind of teacher.

You’re the kind of person who won’t easily let a student be left behind. Hangga’t kaya mong tumulong, you’ll find a way to make sure no one feels like they have to figure everything out alone. And when something needs to be fought for, you’ll stand your ground—not just because you’re our teacher, but because you know what is right and you know your students deserve to be heard.

But perhaps what makes your advice even more special is how you give it. Hindi siya parang sermon from a teacher. Sometimes, it feels more like advice from a friend who genuinely wants you to do better, choose wisely, and believe in yourself a little more.

Thank you for being the kind of teacher who doesn’t just see students as names on a class list, but as people with their own struggles, dreams, and stories. Thank you for reminding us that being a teacher can also mean being someone’s safe place, strongest supporter, and voice when they need one.

With you, a lesson is never just a lesson. Somehow, every discussion can turn into a little chikahan, and before we know it, we’re no longer just talking about what’s written in the book—we’re talking about life. 😭🫶

You have a way of connecting what we learn inside the classroom to what we might encounter outside of it. One moment, we’re listening to the lesson; the next, you’re sharing a story, a reminder, or a piece of real-life wisdom that makes us think, “Ay, may point talaga.” HAHAHA!

And perhaps that’s what makes your lessons different. You don’t just give us something to remember for a quiz—you give us things we can carry with us beyond the classroom. Every chikahan has a lesson, and every lesson somehow has a little bit of life in it.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that with you, walang chikahan na bitin at walang paalalang nauubusan. HAHAHA! 😭🗣️ From the latest classroom ganap to the reminders we’ve probably heard more than once, you always somehow have something to say—and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Your chikahan may start as something random, but somewhere along the way, may kasamang life lesson, reminder, or piece of advice na mapapaisip talaga kami. And those little conversations are the kind of moments that make a teacher feel less like someone simply standing in front of the classroom and more like someone who genuinely cares about the people sitting in it.

Thank you for the countless reminders—even the ones we pretend we already know. 😭 From the little things you remind us about to the advice you casually slip into our conversations, you never seem to get tired of looking out for us.

So, Ma’am Rita, thank you for every chikahan, every reminder, and every little moment that makes our school days more memorable. Kahit paulit-ulit, alam naming galing ’yan sa malasakit. 🫶 HAHAHA!
