The following months will be muddy and wet. So, just before we enjoy the chilling weather, here's a couple of do's and dont's for us to be prepared.

DO’s:
- Bring an umbrella, raincoat, or waterproof jacket — Always be prepared for sudden downpours.
- Wear waterproof or non-slip shoes — Prevent slipping and keep your feet dry.
- Check weather updates — Monitor announcements from PAGASA or your local weather authority.
- Leave early for appointments — Rain can cause traffic and delays.
- Secure your gadgets in waterproof bags — Use dry bags or ziplocks if necessary.
- Keep emergency contact numbers ready — Especially during typhoons or flood alerts.
- Stock up on essentials at home — Canned goods, batteries, clean water, medicines, and candles.
- Unplug electronics during strong storms — Prevent damage from power surges.
- Use insect repellent — Standing water invites mosquitoes and dengue risks.

DON’Ts:
- Don’t walk or drive through floodwaters — It may be deeper or more dangerous than it looks.
- Don’t ignore storm or flood warnings — Stay indoors or evacuate if advised.
- Don’t throw trash irresponsibly — It clogs drainage and worsens flooding.
