Bone North Integrated School capped off the September celebration of Literacy Month by recognizing the efforts of teachers and sections who excelled in the school search for Best Reading Corner Implementer during the Flag Raising Ceremony on September 30, 2025.
The awarding highlighted the schoolโs commitment to fostering a culture of reading and enhancing literacy skills among learners, aligned with SDO Nueva Vizcaya's LETS READ PM ( Let Every Teacher and Student Read, Enjoy, Appreciate and Discern Printed Materials) program.
In Lot A, the winners were:
Champion: Grade 8 Galileo, Adviser, Venus Mangangan
2nd Place: Grade 8 Newton, Adviser, Joan Quetives
3rd Place: Grade 10 Darwin, Adviser, Maricris Ocampo
Meanwhile, in Lot B, the following emerged as top performers:
Champion: Grade 7 Hawking, Adviser, Karole Joy Libadia
2nd Place:Grade 8 Archimedes, Adviser, Richelle Jane Reyes
3rd Place: Grade 7 Lippershey, Adviser, Glendora Llamas
The classroom reading corners were evaluated based on the following criteria: Physical Organization (15 points), Appropriateness of Texts to the Level of the Users (25 points), Quality and Depth of Materials (25 points), and Functionality (35 points), for a total of 100 points.
According to reading coordinator and master teacher Karole Joy S. Libadia, the activity served not only to promote healthy competition among sections but also to showcase the creativity and dedication of teachers in developing literacy-friendly environments for their students. #
