THE MESSAGE OF REGIONAL DIRECTOR ALLAN G. FARNAZO IN THE OPENING OF SCHOOL YEAR 2026-2027
As we open another school year, we look forward to new opportunities for learning, growth, and meaningful experiences. While School Year 2026โ2027 may bring its share of challenges, I am confident that, together, we can overcome them and make this year a successful and rewarding one for all.
To our teachers, this school year may require some adjustments, especially with the three-term calendar. Change often comes with challenges, but please be assured that the Department of Education remains committed to providing you with the guidance, support, and resources you need every step of the way. Before the opening of classes, orientations and preparations were conducted to help ensure a smooth transition. These changes are part of our continuous efforts to improve and strengthen the education system. As we begin the year, the first week will focus on learner orientation, health assessments, and other opening activities to help set a positive tone for the months ahead.
To our learners, know that every adjustment being made is centered on your welfare and success. The Department aims to create a learning environment where you can focus more on your studies with fewer interruptions and distractions. We want your learning experiences to be more engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable. Above all, we want to provide you with the best opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve your dreams.

Your role is crucial in helping teachers, learners, and the wider school community understand and embrace these changes.
