Today, on All Souls’ Day, we turn our hearts to a tender commemoration of all the faithful departed — our loved ones, our family, and all souls who have gone before us. It is a day of profound remembrance and prayer, reminding us that love transcends the boundary of death. We light a candle of hope for their journey and entrust them to the boundless mercy of God. May our prayers and our cherished memories bring them peace, and may they feel the unbroken communion of love that binds heaven and earth. 🕯️

Today, we celebrate All Saints’ Day — a commemoration of light, faith, and the enduring strength of goodness. It reminds us that holiness shines not only in grand deeds, but also in everyday acts of love, kindness, and courage. As we remember the saints and all who have walked paths of virtue before us, may we be inspired to live with compassion, seek peace, and let our lives reflect the grace that unites heaven and earth. 🙏

Today, we celebrate World Mental Health Day, a day to honor the quiet strength within every soul, and the courage it takes to seek light amid life’s shadows. Our minds, like our hearts, deserve compassion — a gentle space to rest, to heal, and to grow. In moments of struggle, may we remember that vulnerability is not weakness, but a doorway to understanding and connection. As we reflect on this day, may kindness guide our words, empathy shape our actions, and hope steady our steps. Together, let us nurture a world where every mind is met with care, and every heart finds peace in being seen. 💚

NEWS — St. Scholastica's Academy - Bacolod honored the Blessed Virgin Mary by celebrating the Living Rosary in the school gymnasium with the theme “Mary Beacon of Hope, Guide our Hearts to Christ” on this day, October 7.

The Parade of Colors led by Boys Scouts and Girls Scouts marked the opening of the event, followed by the Entrance of the Blessed Virgin Mary with selected students dressed as angels throwing flower petals and the Knights of the Altar holding Marian banners. Afterwards, the institution sang the opening song “A Million Roses for the World” with choreography performed by La Figura members.

The praying of the rosary was guided by the human beads holding up lit candles every prayer. Selected students wore UN costumes to represent each sorrowful mystery and prayer intention, while five rosary leaders knelt down before Mary onstage.

After the Living Scriptural Rosary, La Figura members performed a dance offered to Mary with the song “Awit sa Ina Ng Santo Rosario.” Next, the coronation of the Blessed Mother commenced with Ms. Editha Dizon crowning Mary, Mrs. Miriam Tenoso who was tasked with the Imposition of the Holy Rosary, and Mrs. Nida Novio, Mrs. Gina Labanon, and Mr. Jonathan Resides who took charge of the Imposition of the Leis.

The Knights of the Altar members then carried Marian banners that spelled “AVE MARIA” which was succeeded by floral offerings from selected students of the student body. The Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary was recited by Ryker Nixon Petiza of Grade 3 - Patience.

The event ended through the heartfelt message of Sr. Ma. Ezechiel Fernandez, OSB. It came to a joyful close as the student body once again enjoyed “A Million Roses for the World” guided by La Figura.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary — a day to honor the gentle strength of Mary, whose prayerful intercession guides hearts closer to Christ. Her rosary is a chain of grace, binding heaven and earth in love, faith, and hope. We reflect on her steadfast example of devotion, courage, and peace, drawing inspiration to face life’s mysteries with trust and humility. May this feast renew our hearts in prayer and remind us that through every decade of the rosary, we walk hand in hand with our Blessed Mother toward the light of her Son. 📿🙏
