Almighty and Most Merciful God,
Our refuge and our strength in every trial,
we come before You with humble and anxious hearts as Typhoon Opong passes over our lands.

We fervently pray for Your divine protection.
Please shield our nation, the Philippines, and all our fellow citizens. Spread Your mighty hands over every island, every community, every home, and every soul in the path of this storm.

· For those in vulnerable areas, we pray for their safety. Calm their fears and grant them a place of security.
· For the travelers and those stranded, be their guide and their shelter.
· For our brave responders— the disaster teams, police, military, medical personnel, and volunteers—grant them courage, wisdom, and strength as they work to keep us safe.
· For our families and loved ones, wherever they may be, surround them with Your unwavering presence.

We place our trust in You, O Lord, our rock and our deliverer.
We ask all this through Your infinite mercy.

"We are constrained to protect our personnel and property from perpetrators," - Hda. San Antonio Dos Management

In light of recent events that transpired at Hacienda San Antonio Dos in Barangay Dos Hermanas Talisay City, the management will exercise the full protection of its personnel from perpetrators of this land dispute.

For more than three decades, Hacienda San Antonio Dos had been a peaceful community. But ever since disputes erupted there in August 2024, it was always the group of 15 ARBs (agrarian reform beneficiaries) and their family members actively and consistently instigating violence at the hacienda, causing disturbance in the area and even damage to our property, thus the Management is only constrained to protect its personnel and property from these perpetrators.

The Management of Hacienda San Antonio Dos legally owns the disputed 22.95-hectare property through Sales of Rights.

The 15 ARB-complainants are among the original 26 ARBs who received CLOAs (Certificate of Land Ownership Award) in 2001 and they were installed in the same year.

For context, lands awarded to ARBs under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) may be sold by the ARBs 10 years after the date of their installation in said land. These 15 ARBs sold the land back to the Management through separate notarized Sales of Rights on different dates between November 2013 and November 2016, after a ten-year period.

The 15 ARBs had filed a petition before the Department of Agrarian Reform - Regional Office VI (DARRO-6) for issuance of a Cease and Desist Order against the Management of Hacienda San Antonio Dos, supposedly stopping it from tilling and cultivating the said property, but DARRO-6 denied the petition on April 4, 2025 for “lack of merit."

DSSD-Bacolod Provides P2.9M in Financial Aid to Fire Victims in Brgy. 27

The Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) – Bacolod disbursed ₱2.9 million in financial aid to 290 families affected by the recent fire in Barangay 27.

The distribution took place today, Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Mayor Greg Gasataya instructed the DSSD to expedite aid for families at the Apolinario Mabini Elementary School evacuation center.

“I know you have all been through a lot, but if we continue helping one another, we can rise again together,” the mayor added.

A total of 144 families whose houses were completely destroyed received ₱15,000 each, while families with partially damaged homes were given ₱10,000 each.

Ester De Asis, a recipient, expressed her appreciation for the city government's swift action, saying, “This will help us a lot in rebuilding our house after the fire.”

In addition to homeowners, 146 sharers and renters each received ₱5,000.

Joining the mayor at the payout were Councilors Homer Bais, Celia Flor, Psyche Marie Sy and Bobby Rojas along with DSSD head Richelle Verdeprado-Mangga

The DSSD is collaborating with local authorities and agencies to offer extensive support to the fire-affected families.

The Bacolod City Government is also working with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) regarding a potential land donation for an onsite housing project in the barangay.

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental – September 25, 2025 – In the world of Negrense volleyball, an epic narrative is unfolding, one that has all the makings of a classic trilogy. The rivalry between the St. John's Institute - Hua Ming (SJI) Falcons and the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts has escalated into the must-watch story of NOPSSCEA Season 45, a saga with its chapters written in sweat, strategy, and a ticket to the national stage on the line.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗻𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗹𝘁'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻.
The story began last August under the bright sun of the grassroots level. The Tay Tung Thunderbolts emerged victorious, capturing the crown at the 2025 Abanse Negrense Grassroots Governor's Cup. In that first encounter, their power and experience prevailed, establishing them as the team to beat and setting the stage for a compelling rivalry.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝘄𝗼: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲.
The plot took a dramatic turn last September 21, 2025, at the Bacolod City High School Gym. In a highly charged exhibition game that felt anything but friendly, the SJI Falcons authored a stunning comeback. Applying the lessons learned from their first loss, the Falcons, under the strategic guidance of Head Coach Mr. Ralph Savellano, crafted a masterful game plan. They matched Tay Tung's power with impeccable defense and countered with their own explosive offense, led by the phenomenal Ms. Caera Celis. The Falcons' victory was more than just a win; it was a statement. It announced that the gap was closed, and a new, powerful force had arrived.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲.
Now, both titans have carried their unblemished records into the NOPSCCEA Season 45 playoffs, each dominating their respective brackets. The entire volleyball community is watching, calculating, and waiting. The prevailing sentiment is that this season is hurtling toward an inevitable conclusion: a third and final showdown between the Falcons and the Thunderbolts for the NOPSSCEA championship.

The stakes for this potential finale could not be higher. Beyond the coveted Season 45 trophy, the title is believed to be the key to representing Negros Island Region at the Palarong Pambansa 2026. This elevates the rivalry from a local skirmish to a battle for a chance at national glory.

With both team's undefeated standings, high chances are, the stage will be set for a potential third chapter on September 28, 2025, at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum.

Who will have the final word in this thrilling trilogy if it happens? Will the Tay Tung Thunderbolts reassert their presence, or will the SJI Falcons complete their story of redemption and soar to the Palarong Pambansa?

Let's find out! 🏐
