LOOK: Human skeletal remains were discovered by a laborer in a sugarcane field at Hacienda Maria Cecilia, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, earlier today

Personnel from the Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station and the MDRRMO responded to the site to recover the remains and associated clothing found scattered within the field.

This is the second discovery in three days, following a similar incident in Hda. Lillia, Brgy. Crossing Magallon, on February 21.*

Several private institutions in Bacolod, including University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, University of St. La Salle, and St. Scholastica’s Academy, have suspended classes for tomorrow, February 25, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

La Consolacion College Bacolod will observe a half-day schedule while public schools will maintain regular classes in accordance with the national ‘Special Working Day.’
