READ: The Partido Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban) has issued a statement condemning reports of an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant allegedly issued for Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa. The political party characterized the potential warrant as a severe violation of Philippine sovereignty and independence.

In its statement, PDP Laban criticized the Marcos administration for what it described as "slavish subservience" to the ICC. The party argued that the government should prioritize the country’s right to self-determination and protect its citizens from foreign jurisdiction, especially since the Philippines has withdrawn from the Rome Statute. The group further warned that yielding to Western powers for political expediency would make the nation a "laughingstock" and urged the President not to repeat the "cowardly" actions previously taken against former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Defending the incumbent senator, PDP Laban emphasized that Dela Rosa was elected by millions of Filipinos and that his rights should not be sacrificed for political gain.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to fighting against alleged abuses of power and corruption within the current administration, vowing to use all available means to protect its members and the general public.

The statement concluded with a call for patriotic citizens to legally resist any attempts to undermine national rights and domestic judicial processes.

Senator Bato dela Rosa is still in the country, according to DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

The senator is reportedly in Davao, the secretary said during a press briefing on Sunday.

Remulla added that the Davao Region has already been alerted regarding the subpoena.

Senator Ronald dela Rosa is set to receive a subpoena from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group on Monday as part of an ongoing investigation, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla confirmed.

Remulla clarified that the order is “not an arrest warrant, but a subpoena,” amid reports linking Dela Rosa to a possible warrant from the International Criminal Court.

According to Remulla, the senator is being asked to personally appear before the CIDG office as authorities continue their probe related to the anti-drug campaign during the Duterte administration.

“He was the tip of the spear in the EJK drive. So we will start with him and investigate down further,” Remulla said, referring to alleged extrajudicial killings tied to the government’s war on drugs. | via Isah Gonzaga David, ISAT U Intern

TRAFFIC ENFORCER’S QUIET DINNER BREAK 🥹

A simple photo of a traffic enforcer quietly eating dinner along the roadside has touched many online after it was shared by Facebook user Jerik Fernandez. The image, taken while Fernandez was walking and jogging, showed the enforcer seated alone near his duty post, taking a brief meal break amid his night shift.

In his post, Fernandez said the scene reminded him of his father, whom he described as hardworking, determined, and willing to sacrifice for the family. He noted that many fathers silently endure exhaustion and long hours just to provide a better life for their loved ones.

“Minsan tahimik lang sila sa laban nila sa buhay, pero araw-araw nila pinapakita ang tunay na pagmamahal through hard work, responsibility, and dedication,” he wrote.

The post has since resonated with many netizens, who praised workers and fathers who continue to fulfill their responsibilities despite fatigue and hardship.

Fernandez also paid tribute to all hardworking providers, saying that true love is not only expressed through words, but through daily sacrifice and dedication. l via Jaymel Eiman, UA Intern
