For me, style isn’t just about looking good, it’s about dressing for the occasion.

New look, same comfort. The newly renovated Tom N Toms Bacolod is giving cozy coffee shop vibes. The Java Chip Tomncinno still hits, and the basque cheesecake was pretty good too.
Plugs are still here. Not sure yet about the WiFi or if the second floor is open, so let me know if you’ve been. I think they have a discount right now, so it’s a good time to drop by.

Soft grind kinda day in Bacolod 🐺

Started with a solid morning workout, hit the driving range for a bit of golf, then wrapped it all up with brunch at Café Mera and a samgyup sesh. If you’re into lowkey lifestyle vlogs with a bit of everything — food, fitness, and the Bacolod vibe — this one's for you.

📍 Café Mera — tucked away in Mandalagan, Lacson Extension. Good coffee, aesthetic interiors, perfect spot to work or chill.
Golf practice — still trash but trying.
Samgyupsal — always a good idea.

Is This Bacolod Café Aesthetic… or Just Creepy?

We pulled up to 60s Café expecting vintage vibes and photo ops — and we got that… plus a little Insidious energy we didn’t sign up for. 😅

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧 𝟲𝟭𝟲 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱)

I’ve stayed at Unit 616 in Bacolod before, and it’s always been my default when I need a weekend to escape the noise. Clean. Cozy. Fast WiFi. Instant soft life.

But today? Today almost made me hit “Cancel Booking.”

It started with a long week. Mentally fried, spiritually overdue for silence. So I booked Unit 616 again — craving slow mornings, streaming nights, and a fridge stocked with leftover Coke and peace.

I arrived, tired but hopeful. The guard smiled. I took the elevator up. Pressed “6.” Familiar.

But when I opened the door…
No cool breeze.
No diffused lighting.
No smell of fresh linens.

I panicked.

I said, “Wait lang… is this not the soft life I ordered?”

Turns out, I forgot to message the host that I’d be arriving earlier than check-in. Aircon was off. Curtains still drawn. I stood there, bag on shoulder, like a man left on seenzoned.

I was this close to rage-napping on the couch, but then—

Ding. Phone buzzes.
“Hi! We just saw you checked in — feel free to adjust anything. AC and Netflix remote are on the nighstand!”
Followed by: “PS. We left a snack in the fridge. Ginbinlan ka da namon sang gamay nga treat :)”

Open fridge.
Boom. Cold can of Royal.
Some leftover chips.
Even a bottle of water. Chilled.

I turn on the AC. It hums like forgiveness.
Open Netflix. Continue Watching: “Tastefully Yours.”
Sit on the bed. Fluffy, clean, a little too perfect.

I blinked.
I was no longer mad.
I was healed.

And then came the real plot twist: the WiFi? Fast. Faster than my situationship replies.

I realized something right there:
Unit 616 didn’t fail me.
It let life humble me before saving me.

So no, I didn’t cancel my stay.
I extended it. 😌

Thanks for the plot twist, 616.

ALWAYS ON THE PROWL

Go big or go home! There is no in-between. That is the mantra of Howl’s founder, Tristam Kaie P. Linga. Like a distant howl, he wanted his deep and strong voice to be heard. He wanted to create a brand that would be the manifestation of his Lycan-like personality. Now it’s finally becoming a reality. It’s funny, the world is full of drama and chaos, and sadly, most people feed into that mess, but we’re different. We don’t care! Howlph represents the people who don’t need the stress; Howlph endorses the people who mind their own business, and most importantly, Howlph embodies confidence and strength. Like wolves, we roam. Trusting our natural instincts, trusting our hearts and minds so that we can have control over our own lives and not listen to the petty cries of the weak-minded. This self-trust breeds conviction to work towards something you want and give it your all without fear. If you’re with us then #howlforme!
