Arcane, the popular Netflix animated series based on the League of Legends video game, has won the award for Outstanding Animated Program at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony, on top of the three other animation-related trophies it earned earlier this year.

ANIMATED SHORT OF THE WEEK: Appearance and Reality 😎

Written and directed by Elena Rogova, this short film was released in 2014. It shows the difference between how adults hide their true intentions and feelings compared to children and pets.

A clever presentation using the blend of sketches and colored 2D animation added depth to how the story is presented.

This week, our spotlight is on the 2017 short film (OO) 📽

Directed and animated by Seoro Oh, (OO) is basically an animation short about the happenings of someone's nostrils. More specifically, it seems that it is the happenings of someone with rhinitis. In an interview, Seoro revealed that he has suffered from rhinitis since he was a child.

“Many unpleasant things happen in my nose on a regular basis — especially during the change of seasons. I wanted to animate the feeling so people could empathize.”
