I’ll make it through September, and whatever the rest of the year brings.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

When I was in my 20s, I had a long bucket list—places to go, food to try, and things to buy. I wanted to experience it all, but life and budget constraints meant I didn’t get to pursue most of them.

As I grow older, I realize my list has become much shorter, and somehow, much more meaningful.

Peace of mind. Good health. Restful sleep. A quiet life. More time with the people who truly matter.

The travel dreams and food adventures are still there, but now, I want to experience them surrounded by the people I love.

Simple. Quieter. More meaningful.

Yes, I think I’m getting older—and wiser. 🤎

Pausing is a privilege.

Not everyone gets to start the day with a quiet cup of coffee. Not everyone has the luxury of slowing down, collecting their thoughts, or finishing a warm drink before life calls them elsewhere.

But if today offers you even a moment, receive it with gratitude.

Finish your coffee. Feel the warmth. Breathe deeply. Listen before you speak. Rest before you rush.

Sometimes the smallest pauses become the biggest blessings. They steady the heart, clear the mind, and gently shape the life we're building—one quiet moment at a time.

With the recent incidents involving students in schools, I can't help but think about the safety of our children every time they step into the classroom.

As parents, we do everything we can to keep them safe, but there are things beyond our control, including the actions and behavior of others. It can be worrying, but it also reminds us to stay vigilant, teach our children to speak up, and maintain open communication with them.

I hope schools and the government continue to strengthen measures that protect our children. But while we wait for bigger changes, let's continue to do our part as parents—guiding them, supporting them, and praying for their safety every day.

May God watch over and protect all our children wherever they go. ❤️

As we pack their bags and get everything ready for school, we whisper a prayer for our little ones—that they may be safe, loved, guided, and embraced by kindness wherever they go. Protect our babies every day, Lord. 🙏

Tomorrow marks the beginning of another school year.

Some are excited, while others are feeling a little anxious. Some will continue their journey, while others have chosen a different path. Some are first-time Grade 1 students, and some are graduating on their final year. Some are eager to keep learning, while others are facing challenges along the way.

Some moms are sending their first child to school, while others are wondering how they'll manage another busy year with four or five children. Some teachers are excited to welcome a new class, while others are preparing for their final year before retirement.

Whatever your role this school year—student, parent, teacher, guardian, or supporter—know that you are seen.

Big hugs to all of you.

Whatever you do, do it with all your heart. God sees you in every season you are in. Be kind, and then be even kinder. Everyone is carrying a story we may not fully understand.

Get ready. Another school year begins tomorrow. 🤍

With love,

Vanessa 🤎

Yes, there are moments when we quietly ask why we are still blessed, even when we feel unworthy or undeserving.

But God, in His wisdom and love, knows what our hearts need and continues to pour out grace beyond what we can explain or earn. It is not about deserving, but about mercy freely given.

Kaluy-an — a life held by grace, sustained by love, and blessed even in ways we do not fully understand.
