𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐮𝐩.
Serving as a festive and fruitful culmination of another dynamic academic year, the Recoletos Awards Night 2026 was celebrated tonight at Roy’s Hotel and Convention Center, May 29.
The ceremony highlighted the invaluable service, unwavering passion, and critical role played by the University Student Government, college councils, campus organizations, and student publications in uplifting the UNO-Rian student community. As a testament to their dedication, every student organization within the university received a plaque honoring their commitment to leadership and service.
Among the evening's distinct highlights were specialized accolades recognizing targeted global impact. The Mechanical Engineering Society was honored with a plaque of recognition as the champion for Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), while Delta Epsilon earned top honors for Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The final standings for the 2026 Perpetual Championship showcased a highly competitive year across the university. The College of Engineering dominated the field to claim the championship with 3,640 points, followed closely by the College of Education in second place with 3,205 points. The race for the podium was incredibly tight, as the College of Allied Medical Health Sciences secured third place with 2,850 points, narrowly edging out the College of Arts and Sciences, which finished fourth with 2,840 points. Rounding out the rest of the university rankings, the College of Criminal Justice Education took fifth place with 2,595 points, followed by the College of Business and Accountancy in sixth with 2,545 points. The College of Information Technology completed the standings in seventh place, finishing the academic year with 2,225 points.
Reflecting on the monumental victory, outgoing CEN Governor Regie Villarin expressed immense pride in the college's collective effort to bring the perpetual cup back home.
Ultimately, the night stood as a powerful celebration of leadership, unity, and the enduring competitive spirit of the entire UNO-R community.
