“Follow your peace, follow your deepest joy, follow your bliss.”
In the words of Mary Jean Concepcion-Patindol, a distinguished alumna, writer, and educator whose legacy lies a fitting reflection of the life she lived.
The Spectrum - University of St. La Salle mourns the passing of a woman whose influence reached far beyond the classroom. Mary Jean first served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Spectrum, and later returned to the publication as its moderator, guiding generations of campus journalists with the same conviction that shaped her own life and work.
Her time as a writer and educator carried that same spirit. Mary Jean devoted her time in the publication to teaching, writing, and peace and conflict-sensitive journalism.
Rest in peace, Mary Jean Concepcion-Patindol.
Your words have found their place in the pages you leave behind—and in the lives of those you taught, guided, and inspired.
