Yesterday, I went to pray for Kuya Jeffrey's Mom, Nanay Edna. Then we went to Pastor Dennise's Mother's wake in Karuhatan Valenzuela, Mama Zenaida. Cavite to Taytay to Valenzuela back to Cavite, then another series of short travels and errands this morning. I'm beat, fell asleep after lunch then woke up just a few minutes before my online Bible Study.
During my sharing, news came that Mama Edna went home to be with the Lord while in the ICU in a hospital in Taytay. After the online sharing, just a minutes ago, I came down to check on my mom. She's still with us, but she's frail, she's nearly 86. She's a shell of her old self.
In a span of 48 hours, I observed 3 Mothers and their sons, one departed, one about to depart-then departed, one frail and enduring a handful of grains in the sands of time in her God-given hourglass.
I'm crushed inside. We all face the reality of the temporariness of our time. It's painful because when life expires, our love for the person does not. And the enduring love makes the pain even deeper. The pain of losing a loved one is determined by the depth of one's love for that person. Kaya dito sa mundo, hangga't may love, may pain. It's an extremely painful exchange but it's worth it.
Mahigpit na yakap po kuya Jeffrey at Pastor Dennise, mga kuya ko sa Lord.
Love your family. Love your Moms..
Revelations 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
