At 49, she’s still dreaming.

She once gave up her career
not because she failed,
but because her child needed her.

She trusted a nanny once.
Something terrible happened.
So she chose to stay.
She became a full-time mother.
With no relatives to rely on.

Loneliness came.
Illness came.
Self-doubt stayed.
She tried side hustles.
She stopped.
She started again.

Now her children are grown.
Her son is in college—
and she’s still guiding him.

She’s not earning much yet.
But she’s trying again.

✨ That is resilience.

Through all the joys and struggles of this year, Christmas reminds us that love remains. For our family, for ourselves, and for the moments that shaped us. Merry Christmas.

Lord, please forgive me for all my weaknesses and shortcomings. Forgive me if I feel weak, helpless, and hopeless, especially when facing difficulties in managing my children. Help me, Lord, to be strong and have unwavering faith in you. I often rely on my own ways and forget to consult you. Guide me to always seek your counsel, reminding me to turn to you for the right course of action.

Lord Jesus, lead me in the direction you desire for me to go. Be my light and compass, as I am lost without you. Carry me and control my direction, preventing me from doing anything harmful to myself, my children, my husband, and others. You are my strength and hope, and I offer my life to you. Be my source of strength and life, filling the emptiness within me. Be the breath I take each day. I pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
