Day 6 of Swimming Class! 🩵

Kaius pushed himself more than usual! 🫡 Pag nagkakamali siya sinasabi niya kay Coach Diana, “Continue, continue.” Hihi! Don’t stop daw. Keep going lang siya. 🤭

Kaya ayun, “Ahhhh!” 😅 Pagod na! 😂

After swimming, umahon agad and said, “I’m starving!” 😵 Haha! 🤣

So...squid balls it is! 🐙🍢 The perfect post-swim reward! 🤪🥳🎉

Pag-uwi, tulog na agad ang little swimmer! 🥱😴😪☺️

Copywork 📝 + Artwork 🖍️

After reading about Lehi and his family’s travel in the wilderness, Kaius did his copywork from 1 Nephi 17:3…

“And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God, he doth nourish them and strengthen them…” ✨

Kaius enjoys copying scripture verses! Kahit minsan hinihipan na ang fingers niya dahil medyo mahaba daw pinapasulat ko. 😅

Binasa din namin ang ‘Alamat ng Kawayan’ from Lampara Books, and of course, he drew Daniel and Bagwis, the main characters! 🙋🏻‍♂️🦅 Hihi! 😉

Kaius also loooves telling stories and bringing them to life through his art. 🥳🎉

After his lesson, Kaius jumped into the kiddie pool for some splash time! 😅

When I first showed this photo to teachers during a seminar, I asked:

“What do you observe in this classroom?”

Many said the same thing:
“Poor classroom management.”
“There’s no control.”
“One student is sleeping.”
“Others are lying on the floor.”
“It looks like they don’t respect the teacher.”

And you know what?
Those observations are valid — because that’s the lens we were taught to use.
That’s what I used to believe, too.

And it’s not easy to challenge that lens.
Especially when we’ve been trained for so long to equate control with effectiveness. Silence with learning. Uniformity with order.

But after years of working with children with diverse needs,
I’ve learned something important:

You can’t judge a classroom by who’s sitting still or following the same routine.

Because a truly inclusive classroom?
It’s not about control — it’s about intention.
It’s about knowing your learners.
Meeting them where they are.
And creating a space where they feel safe to be who they truly are.

Guess what? He got to swim with his other awesome coach! Hi, Coach Diana! 🏊🏻‍♀️✨

Kaius was sooo happy and excited to learn with her! She taught him how to use his arms na, and after a few strokes he said, “I lost some breath!” 😅 Hihi! Go Kaius! 🥳🎉 You can do it! 🤩

Throwback to my gig days 🎤🎶✨

Yup, that’s me! The girl who loved performing (and still does 😉), especially with my family!!! 🎵

Now, life looks a little different! I’m a full-time, hands-on, homeschooling mama 📚🎨🌸🌱. But that dream of singing and performing is still very much ALIVE — just humming quietly in the background…and hitting high notes in the bathroom for now! 🚿🧼🤣

These days, you’ll find me reading Jack and the Beanstalk for the nth time or dancing along to DannyGo and Numberblocks. 😅 But I know I’ll be back with a mic in hand and a heart full of songsss! 😍❤️ One day! ✨
