While it is understandable that some of us use the term "Perfumer" loosely to refer to people who create finished products like EDT, EDP, etc. that are inspired from (or dupes of) existing fragrances in the market, it is crucial for the Filipino Perfumers Society to clearly define the term "Perfumer" to protect our profession.

A perfumer is the person responsible for creating unique and original fragrances by drawing inspirations from their own ideas using their expertise and knowledge of ingredients.

Here are the key skills needed to be a Perfumer:

- Extensive knowledge for fragrance ingredients, including their properties, interactions, and dosages.
- Knowledge of fragrance accords and archetypes.
- Ability to create fragrances from scratch
- Understanding, mastery, and respect of all regulations and technical specifications related to fragrance creation.

Starting the ghost month with a brand na malapit na tayong i-ghost. She has been one of the few originals that started 3 years ago and significantly contributed to Filipino Perfumery.
