Sometimes, the people you wholeheartedly help become the very people who slowly drift away once life gets better for them.
Not because you expected repayment.
Not because you feel entitled to anything.
But because you thought the connection, respect, and appreciation would remain the same.
There’s a different kind of heartbreak in pouring years of knowledge, time, effort, patience, and genuine care into someone… only to eventually feel like a chapter they quietly outgrew.
Despite the disappointments, God continues to shower me with blessings I never stop praying for — reminders that He sees every sincere intention, even the ones left unseen by others.
Lord, protect my heart. Protect my peace. And please protect me from people who only remember your value when they need something from you.
And one thing I’ve learned for sure: life, and the universe, has its own quiet way of teaching people, in ways no one can control.
So I’ll leave everything to God, move forward with grace, and protect my heart a little wiser next time. 🤍
