A Prayer for Peace Amid Escalation

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with anxious hearts as tensions rise between Israel and Iran. News of airstrikes and missile attacks has shaken families, disrupted lives, and stirred fear far beyond the region.

Lord, we pray for the innocent — the children rushing to shelters, the parents trying to stay strong, the elderly longing for quiet days. Protect them from harm. Surround them with Your comfort in moments of uncertainty.

We ask You to calm the anger that fuels retaliation. Restrain the impulse for revenge. Give leaders wisdom that rises above pride and politics. Open doors for dialogue where weapons now speak. Let courage be measured not by destruction, but by the willingness to choose peace.

Strengthen humanitarian workers, first responders, and all who risk their safety to help others. Bring healing to the wounded and hope to those who feel overwhelmed by fear.

God of mercy, break the cycle of violence. Replace hostility with understanding. Turn hearts toward reconciliation.

May Your peace, deeper than conflict and stronger than hatred, cover the Middle East and the whole world.
