"You Belong Here: Overcoming Impostor Syndrome in Tech"

When you’re shifting into the tech industry—especially from a totally different field—impostor syndrome hits hard. 😓

You look around and think,
“They’ve been coding for years… I just finished a bootcamp.”
“Am I even techy enough for this?”

But then you hear Steph Curry—the greatest shooter in NBA history—say:

"I'm human like everybody. You have doubts about yourself. You have impostor syndrome at times."

And that makes you pause.
Even the best in the game questions himself sometimes.
Even Steph Curry had to put in the reps, miss shots, get overlooked—before the world called him great.

Breaking into tech is the same.
You're not behind—you're just in training.
You're not a fraud—you’re just early in your journey.

So if you're learning how to code, switching careers, or stepping into a room where you feel out of place—
Know this:

You’re not alone.

You’re not faking it.

You’re building it.

One skill. One rep. One shot at a time. 🎯

"Learn. Unlearn. Relearn."
A journey from Engineering to Data Analytics.

Sometimes, no matter how long you've been in a profession, you get that feeling…

"There's something more out there for me."

I came from an Engineering background - numbers, logic, systems.
But over time, I felt a pull:
I wanted to work with meaningful data, draw real insights, and make a broader impact.

So I started learning again...
✅ Took free online courses.
✅ Practiced Excel, SQL, and dashboards.
✅ Studied at night, even after a long day.

But learning wasn't enough...
I had to unlearn old mindsets that no longer served me.
The idea that everything had to be “technical.”
The fear of starting over in a new field.

And that’s when I realized the truth:
In a world that changes fast, the smartest people aren’t the ones who know everything...

They’re the ones willing to start learning again.

If you’re thinking about shifting careers - especially into Data Analytics

You don’t need to be an expert from day one.

What matters is that you start.

That you learn.

And that you stay open to learning all over again.
