The Virtual Library Club and the Learning Resource Center, hosted the Day 7 VLCinema screeningโ€”another treat for students during University Weekโ€”at the UPHSD-Molino Campusโ€™ IHM Building on February 26, 2026. As students gathered with friends, settling into their seats or comfortably on the floor, they prepared for a magical ride through film.

The screening began at 10:00 AM with the family fantasy film IF, directed by John Krasinski. Audiences were immediately drawn in by the storyline, which follows a young girl who discovers a special ability to see peopleโ€™s imaginary friends while navigating complicated life events. While the heartfelt storytelling anchored the film, its music, visuals, and the unique design and personality of its characters provided the magic that swept the viewers off their feet.

The second screening in the afternoon featured the action-adventure fantasy film Damsel. Excited chatter filled the room as more students entered, setting the tone for another immersive experience.
The movie introduces Elodie, a young bride sold into marriage with a prince. As the story unfolds, audiences are taken through stunning landscapes before the narrative turns darkerโ€”revealing Elodieโ€™s betrayal. Thrown into a cave, she is forced to rely on her survival skills and wit. With its strong dark fantasy and survival elements, the film kept viewers deeply engaged. Many were terrified, shocked, and rooting for Elodie, especially as the dragonโ€”initially portrayed as a villainโ€”was revealed to be a victim herself.

In the finale, audiences were delighted to see Elodie and the dragon unite to defeat the true villain.
As the movie wrapped up, the event once again brought Perpetualite students together, proving that films offer more than entertainmentโ€”they create shared experiences and connections that linger long after the credits roll.

Despite the threat of gloomy weather in the morning, the Laro ng Lahi pushed through and challenged the five clusters at the University Oval. February 24, 2026.

Pulling off first with Tug of War โ€” HUMSS Cluster displayed a strength dominance, having a 2-0 standing for each round between all the three games, with the Business and Techno cluster during the elimination round and securing the championship title against BED, who took home silver in the final round. For the lower bracket, Techno and Allied Health cluster fought for the third runner-up. Both teams had their own strategies, but the whistle blew leaving the handkerchief cloth on Allied Healthโ€™s boundary line.

At the peak of the heat, in the second game, Patintero resumed after a quick break. In this game, everyone struggled to find their way out as runners, while taggers made sure not to let anyone successfully return to the base ground. Despite the struggle, HUMSS and Technology Cluster contest for the final round. HUMSS Cluster was awarded as champion, edging one successful runner against Techno, who placed first. The Basic Education department never leaves the top three, claiming the third spot with their advantage in speed against the Business Cluster.

The day concluded with tricky and fun rounds of tumbang preso. The traditional game had a little bit of adjustments to the mechanics after game one of Allied Health VS HUMSS. The championship title was clinched by BED, after having an edge of 10 points against HUMSS gazing at the sunset at a 12-2 score. While HUMSS was in first place, Techno Cluster bagged the bronze after demolishing Allied Health by hitting the can of multiple bullseye, leaving the field with a 17-1 winning score.

Committees played a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the full-day game. From the preparation of mechanics, to ensuring fair results for each player upholding the spirit of a meaningful sports competition.
