Perpetualites gathered today, October 23, 2025, at Gym 2 to commemorate the 30th Founding Anniversary of the University of Perpetual Help Molino Campus — a celebration rooted in faith, service, and excellence. The event began with a Holy Mass and the Enthronement of the Image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, signifying the University’s steadfast devotion and gratitude for three decades of blessings and growth.

The program continued with the Entry of Colors and inspiring performances from the Junior Business High School Chorale, Koro Perpetual, Cultural Dancers, and Altas In Motion showcasing the community’s unity and excellence in the performing arts.

Gracing the momentous celebration was Dr. Daisy M. Tamayo, Co-founder of the University of Perpetual Help System, whose presence reflected the institution’s enduring commitment to nurturing individuals guided by faith and dedicated to service.

For thirty years, UPHSD Molino Campus has stood as a beacon of faith, service, and excellence, living true to its timeless mission — “Character Building is Nation Building.”

UPHSD-Molino Brings Local Innovation to the Global Stage

In Busan, South Korea, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA–Molino Campus proved that local ideas can make a global impact. Representing the Philippines at the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Global Conference, the campus highlighted how education can transform lives beyond classrooms.

At the center of this recognition was Project HOME (Honing One’s Mind through Education), an initiative led by Dr. John Robby O. Robinos, Dean of College of Arts, Sciences and Education. Designed to support Indigenous learners in Mindoro, the project secured the 22nd spot in the Culture and Values category, standing out among more than a thousand international entries.

“It’s about making education inclusive and meaningful,” Dr. Robinos shared, reflecting on the project’s mission to uplift communities often left at the margins.

The conference also became a turning point for UPHSD as it forged ties with Tongmyong University through a memorandum of understanding, opening doors for student exchanges and collaborative research.

By the end of the event, UPHSD-Molino earned a place among the Top 340 Innovative Universities worldwide—a recognition that goes beyond rankings. For the community it serves, it is a reminder that innovation, when rooted in values, has the power to shape both nation-builders and global leaders.

𝗥𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗼

Student journalists do not pose harm to campus press freedom. Yet many still believe that when students join rallies for valid causes—like the recent Flood sa Luneta protest—they are at risk of being unfairly labeled as “activists” in a negative way. But why has it become like this? Why is fighting for a future, one that students only hope to improve, suddenly seen as dangerous? The truth is, their advocacy is not the threat—what truly endangers freedom is the corrupt government that continues to silence change.

Students join rallies not out of recklessness but out of hope—hope for change in their lives and in their futures. Many of these demonstrations are led by student organizations that advocate for anti-corruption and campus press freedom. For example, students from the University of the Philippines expressed their “collective agitation” over rampant corruption in government projects.

For many students, raising one’s voice is intimidating, often due to parental restrictions or fear of repercussions. But the truth remains: our fight is also their fight. A recent “Black Friday” protest, which involved not only students but workers, showed how multiple sectors are fed up with government corruption. Events like these remind us that when young people speak out, they don’t just represent themselves—they represent all those suffering under a system of neglect and graft.

As a campus publication managed by students, we believe that standing firm in the face of injustice is vital. Indifference should never be normalized; to look away is to surrender the very hope we are expected to embody. Tulad ng sinabi ni José Rizal, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.” That hope can only flourish when we remain smart, critical, and unafraid to speak truth to power. Whether through talking with peers, sharing credible information, or joining movements, our voices matter. Silence only protects corruption; action is what drives progress.

Student activism is not a threat, but a duty to truth and democracy. From the Perpetualite students up to the management, let us stand firm on what is happening in our country. We should not let our personal reasons take us away from promoting love of country and good governance. Aren’t we tired of living a life that we don’t deserve? Let us want more and demand what we truly deserve as Filipinos. Let us remember: if we remain silent in the face of injustice, then we allow history to repeat itself. Because to silence student journalists is to silence the nation’s conscience—and as a publication, we ignite the flame, where the truth finds its name.

TOEIC serves as a vital tool in assessing and enhancing the English proficiency of learners, equipping them with the necessary skills for academic success and future professional opportunities.

This initiative, spearheaded by the College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASED), demonstrates the college’s proactive role in advancing academic excellence and promoting lifelong learning. The recognition of Academic Leaders (Management Committee) through the Pillars of Partnership Award for their five years of collaboration further reflects the institution’s dedication to sustaining meaningful partnerships that contribute to the growth of both the faculty and the student body.

Through this endeavor, the institution strengthens its reputation as a center of quality education, fostering collaboration, innovation, and preparedness for the demands of a competitive global environment.
