Subject: Temporary Suspension of Solid Waste Collection

Dear Residents,

We regret to inform you that solid waste collection services were temporarily suspended in the following barangays due to a malfunctioning garbage compactor:

- Barangay Manduyong
- Barangay Bugas
- Barangay Malhiao
- Parts of Barangay Poblacion (including Highway 54, Sawang, and New Site)

The equipment has been repaired and is now fully operational as of this afternoon. Regular waste collection will resume according to the established schedule.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Announcement about Snakes: Do Not Kill, Call the Authorities

Important reminder to our fellow citizens: Snakes play an important role in our ecosystem. If you see a snake, do not kill it even if it may be frightening. Instead, call the authorities such as:

- Barangay officials
- Local wildlife rescue teams
- DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources)

Killing snakes can cause more problems, like an increase in pests. Moreover, Republic Act 9147 (Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act) protects wildlife, including snakes. Killing them is punishable by law, with penalties including fines and imprisonment.

Our cooperation can help ensure the safety of our community and the protection of our environment.

Dear Barangay Officials and Residents of Upland Barangays,

This is a friendly reminder that once waste (including residual waste, diapers, and segregated recyclables) has been accumulated in your Barangay Material Recovery Facility (MRF), kindly inform the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) immediately for proper collection, transport, and disposal.

Why?
- To ensure safe and timely collection by the authorized hauler.
- To prevent overflowing and environmental hazards.
- To comply with RA 9003 and local solid waste management policies.

How to Report:
1. Contact MENRO:

2. Send a text message with:
- Barangay Name
- Type of Waste(Residual,Recyclables, etc.)
- Estimated Volume

Please coordinate with your Barangay Kagawad in-charge of Environment to ensure accurate reporting.
