Badoc Honors Freedom with Solemn and Patriotic Independence Day Rites

June 12, 2025 – Badoc, Ilocos Norte — Amid warm skies and a spirited sense of patriotism, the Municipality of Badoc commemorated the 127th Philippine Independence Day on Thursday morning, June 12, at the Municipal Frontage Garden. With the theme of unity, sacrifice, and national pride, the celebration brought together local officials, government personnel, uniformed personnel, and members of the community in a solemn yet meaningful ceremony.

One of the most emotional parts of the event was the wreath-laying ceremony, a silent tribute to the heroes of Philippine independence who fought valiantly for the freedom Filipinos enjoy today.

The highlight of the morning was the message of Mayor Maximo D. Cajigal, delivered on his behalf by Municipal Administrator Janice Gorospe. In her address, she emphasized the importance of remembering the nation’s past and carrying forward the ideals of unity, democracy, and service to others.

Adding to the solemnity of the occasion was the reading of the official Independence Day message of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. by PNP Chief Elison Pasamonte, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to nation-building and honoring Filipino identity.

The 2025 Independence Day celebration in Badoc served not only as a remembrance of the nation’s history, but also as a call for continued dedication to freedom, service, and love for the Philippines.
