Let's call it what it really is.
It is not kindness. It is a profound disservice.

You are not teaching them to enjoy their youth.
You are teaching them that responsibility is for other people.
You are teaching them to be a consumer in their own home, not a contributor.

One day, another person will have to live with the adult you have created.
A partner who will be exhausted from being the only one who knows how to run a household.
You are not just raising your child; you are raising someone's future problem.

Chores are not about a clean house.
They are about building a capable, respectful, and responsible human being.
Stop protecting them from work. Start preparing them for life.
