BAGGAO, CAGAYAN โ With preparedness and learner safety taking center stage, Hacienda-Intal National High School (HINHS) successfully participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill on September 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., putting its emergency response procedures into practice through a coordinated and orderly school-wide exercise.
The activity began with a brief orientation for learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, emphasizing the importance of staying calm, being alert, and following established safety protocols during emergency situations.
At exactly 9:00 a.m., the school bell/alarm signaled the start of the drill. Learners and personnel immediately carried out the prescribed response, demonstrating familiarity with the schoolโs emergency procedures and designated evacuation routes.
The exercise focused primarily on the ringing of the alarm, the appropriate Run, Hide, Fight response, and the subsequent evacuation process.Particular attention was given to the proper use of designated evacuation routes and safe areas. Learners and personnel were guided to move systematically and safely while observing instructions from school authorities and designated safety personnel.
The activity also underscored the school's commitment to a trauma-informed approach. Rather than exposing learners to distressing simulated scenarios, the drill concentrated on practical emergency response skills that can be applied when the need arises.
As HINHS continues to strengthen its school safety measures, the activity reaffirmed its commitment to providing a learning environment where every learner and school personnel is equipped with the knowledge, discipline, and readiness necessary to respond during emergencies.
