Sharks predate trees. Sharks have been cruising the oceans for over 400 million years—trees only appeared about 350 million years ago.

Sharks have roamed our seas for more than 400 million years, which means they evolved nearly 200 million years earlier than the first dinosaurs. During all this time, sharks have either shared or solely owned the position of the top predators in the marine food web. There are more than 400 different shark species, most of which can be found in coastal regions. They are present in every ocean of the world, with some species also inhabiting rivers.

Nahaharap sa kasong attempted murder ang PBA player na si John Amores matapos na paputukan nito ng baril ang kanyang nakainitan sa larong basketball sa Lumban, Laguna nitong Miyerkoles ng gabi.

Ayon sa inisyal na report ng Lumban police, dakong alas 6 ng gabi, naglalaro ng basketball si Amores sa isang court sa Barangay Salac, Lumban, nang makasagutan nito ang isa sa kanilang kalaban na isang seaman.

Nagkahamunan pa ang dalawa na magsuntukan sa Barangay Maytalang Uno kaya sumakay ng motorsiklo si Amores patungo sa lugar.

Sumunod naman sa kanya ang nakamotorsiklo ding biktima.

Naunang dumating sa lugar si Amores at ng habang pababa sa motorsiklo ang biktima ay bigla itong pinaputukan ni Amores ng hindi pa matukoy na kalibre ng baril.

Hindi naman tinamaan ang biktima samantalang mabilis na umalis si Amores.

‘I’M CONCERNED BECAUSE I AM A FORMER CHIEF PNP’

Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa clarified if he was the former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief who was allegedly on the payroll of dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo.

“Siniguro ko lang baka mamaya may lalabas na script diyan na ako ‘yung former chief PNP na tumatanggap sa‘yo ng pera. Klaruhin ko lang ito,” he said during the Senate hearing on Tuesday.

On January 15, 2024, Harry Roque’s wife Mylah signed a lease contract with a Chinese woman named Yun Wan, for a family property — a house — in Tuba, Benguet.

According to Roque, former presidential spokesperson to Duterte under whose term POGOs (or Philippine offshore gaming operators) were invented, Yun Wan had been persistent in wanting to rent that house. Roque said he liked to use that house during the holidays, so he adamantly resisted at first. He gave in eventually.

Six months after, a Chinese fugitive was caught living inside that house. Sun Liming, whom Roque said was Yun Wan’s boyfriend/partner, is a red-notice fugitive wanted in China for defrauding 180,000 victims a total of CNY1.6 billion (P12 billion) through an investment scam via internet network marketing.

Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Carlos Yulo has finally received his prize from Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP). At a simple turnover ceremony today witnessed by hundreds of TMP employees at the carmaker’s Laguna plant, a brand-new white Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was given to our most decorated athlete. The turnover was led by TMP president Masando Hashimoto and vice chairman Dr. David Go.

Tila patuloy rin ang buhos ng blessings para sa nanay ni two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo na si Angelica Yulo matapos makatanggap ng "Ulirang Ina" award.

Pinarangalan si Angelica ng Inspiring Motherhood Legacy Award ng 7th Southeast Asian Achievement Award dahil sa pagpapalaki niya sa mga anak na achiever lalo na sa larangan ng sports.

Sa kabatiran ng lahat, hindi lamang si Carlos ang gymnast kundi maging ang dalawa pang anak na sina Karl Eldew at Elaiza.

Si Eldrew ay makatatanggap din ng parangal na "International Gymnastics Luminary Award."
