We were exhausted on the weekend so we went to MadKart just to have FUN, and it didn’t disappoint us! It was such a blast.

I decided to check out the Diplomat Hotel after so many years of not being there. Honestly, it looked pretty rough; the vibe was just sad. But I did enjoy the nice cool breeze around the place. It really clears your head, especially in the back where those old gazebos are. I just hope they haven't ruined it with graffiti.

Anyway, it’s good to see the old building standing mightly.

I have to agree with icoy here. Went to one of the cafes and ordered Masala. What was I thinking 💭 ordering Indian food in a cozy cafe?! Haha. 😆 The thing is, nasa menu naman kasiii— so I thought..y’know masarap. But bleh, I needed more of the Indian aroma IYKYK. 😂

My mom and I decided to swing by GDS Oriental Food House, a Syrian spot on Gibraltar Road in Baguio City, and we were really looking forward to having their Biryani again. But, surprise! They have specific days for rice orders, and today wasn’t one of them. Total letdown! 🙃 We ended up ordering something else that was pretty good, but I couldn’t stop thinking about that Chicken Biryani. Haha! Anyway, the food there is packed with flavor. If you’re into this kind of cuisine, you’ve got to give it a try. I’m definitely going back for that Chicken Biryani—I even checked when it’s available! It’s served every Friday and Saturday starting at 11 am. Let’s do this! Monrey💗

Checking out the food scene at the market in Binalonan, Pangasinan:

There's this market where you can grab some cooked meals like Kanto fried chicken, pancit, and even pizza. The fried chicken goes for about 25 to 35 pesos, depending on which part you choose. When my husband first took me here, I was blown away by the number of vendors selling chicken. We tried a few, and they were pretty tasty—just hoping the oil they used wasn’t reused, haha.

Now, about that 99-peso pizza. Honestly, it’s not even worth mentioning, but I have to say it tasted like bread with ketchup, and the ham on top got ruined by the heat. But the pancit? Oh man, it’s really good! It might not be as fancy as the one from Good Taste with those glossy noodles, but for 65 pesos, it hits the spot. I swear it’s the kind of pancit that pregnant women crave from the neighbor’s kitchen. LOL.

Anyway, there’s still a ton of food I want to try, so here’s to the next adventure!

We enjoyed breakfast at Casa La El - Baguio, where the meals come out hot and fresh. The owners really go the extra mile to ensure you have a delicious start to your day while you're there.
