THE TRANSFORMATION — From Old Shirt to Opulent Gown

"One man’s castaway is another’s crown."

This entire design began as a simple, loose-fitting purple shirt — once comfortable but plain, eventually overlooked and left unworn. Instead of discarding it, designer Kristoffer Tabili saw its hidden potential and breathed new life into it, carefully deconstructing every panel, preserving its rich deep violet fabric, and reweaving it into something entirely extraordinary. No new fabric was purchased for the base of this gown — every inch of its beauty comes from the original shirt, reimagined and elevated. This is upcycling at its finest: honoring the past while creating a future of style, purpose, and zero waste.

Carefully restructured and tailored from the original shirt’s fabric, the gown now falls in fluid, floor-length folds that drape with effortless drama.
