POV: Friday in Baguio City — when the city finally moves at your pace.

Another fun night at The Yard Market! This time we tried the Chimi Steak from Steak of the Nation, cooked medium well. The steak was flavorful and juicy, topped with their fresh chimichurri... garlicky, herby, and slightly tangy. You can choose rice or mashed potato too which makes it a great deal for the price (₱170).

Finally got to try the Beef Carbonara from Pasta Express after missing it last Saturday. Worth the wait! Super creamy and loaded with cheesy goodness...definitely a must if you're a cheese lover.

Acoustic music, bonfire, good food, and a chilly 14°C Baguio night. Everyone was enjoying the vibe.

Simple cravings, perfectly satisfied. A plate of Pancit Cabagan from Aaliyah's Panciteria never disappoints. 🍜👌

After years of not visiting Aaliyah's Panciteria, I’m happy to say it still hits the spot when that Pancit Batil Patong craving kicks in.

We ordered the Pancit Batil Patong and Pancit Cabagan, and honestly, it feels like their pancit is even better now...rich, flavorful, and super satisfying. I went with my parents and they were both shookt with the serving size. According to them, pang-fiesta na ang dami! 🤭 Busog na busog ang mga ferson!

The owners were very friendly and the staff were attentive too, which made the visit even nicer. Plus points for the unli s**a, unli kalamansi, and unli sabaw...and honestly, sabaw pa lang, solve ka na!

They’re now in their new location at Second Kayang Hilltop Market, across Rulloda Hardware. Nasa 3rd floor sila. Definitely still one of those panciterias worth coming back to. 🙂

Had such a cozy Saturday night at The Yard Market Baguio. With the temperature around 15°C and the wind blowing, the bonfire made the night extra perfect. We enjoyed walking around the stalls offering kebab skewers, barbeque, pastil, desserts, steak, pasta, nachos, and drinks/coffee. The vibe was very friendly, the music was nice, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the night. Plus points because we were able to bring our furbabies too.

Sometimes all you need is a quiet corner and a really good cup of matcha.

Nothing beats a visit to Tita Lea’s Pasalubong – Post Office Branch, Baguio City! From the savory Pancit Malabon and Rellenong Bangus to sweet treats like Pichi-Pichi and Black Kutsina, plus the classic Pork BBQ, Chicharap, and Malabon Kikiam—my heart and tummy are full! Truly my paboritong Tita who makes pasalubong extra special. 🫶

Stopped by the newly opened ZUS Coffee Bonifacio Triangle and ordered my usual Gula Melaka Coffee. I chose the Boss beans with dark chocolate notes and a slightly smoky flavor, listed at 183 kcal on the menu which is helpful for those watching their calorie intake. Oat milk can also be substituted for ₱45, just ask the barista.

The cafe is located on the second floor of the newly opened Bonifacio Triangle Building, just across the universities along Bonifacio, so the place was packed when we visited around 4 PM. Since they are still in their soft opening, expect long lines and about 15 to 20 minutes waiting time, mostly students falling in line when we got there 🙂. Good thing the place is air conditioned, making the wait a bit more comfortable.

They also have pastries if you want something to pair with your coffee, and you get a nice view of the streets below while enjoying your drink. One thing to note from our visit yesterday, they were only accepting cash payments, no card or GCash yet, so it is best to bring cash if you plan to visit. Really happy to see this brand finally in Baguio.

The kind of place that makes you pause, breathe deeply, and simply take it all in.
