God had promised David that his house, his kingly line, would continue forever. And though it was interrupted when Judah fell to Babylon in 586 B. C. , Jesus Christ came as the Messianic Son of David and fulfills, and will fulfill, the promises God made to David.

As we stand up to our necks in trouble, we call upon the Lord because we know that He is present and will provide help. We are confident in His love and have faith in His desire to come to our aid. When trampled by the struggles of life, He is the only one we will cling to for comfort and peace. His unconditional love surrounds us and lifts us from the miry pit.

We do not know what tomorrow holds, but we can trust God. Why? Because God does know. He knows the beginning and the ending. He spoke the world into creation. He is the Alpha and Omega. The Beginning and the End. He knew our names before we were born. We can rest assured that he knows what tomorrow, and the next day, and eternity will bring because he created it.

God is loving, patient, and kind. He gives us multiple chances to seek repentance and take our place in His Kingdom. He forgives us when we feel unforgivable and encourages us to surrender our sinful ways. We find it challenging to show mercy in certain situations; we must turn to the Lord in prayer and seek guidance. He grants forgiveness for our darkest transgressions, and we will demonstrate the same compassion.

Your sins have consequences. Even if you confess and are forgiven, you may still feel the shame of those sins. Ask the Lord to help with your shame. When we sin, we also hurt those around us. We need to be aware that sin often has a ripple effect – we may cause others disgrace. When Christians sin, nonbelievers question our faith. Do not let this happen to you. Walk in the light – we cannot hide our sin from the Lord.

As Christians, we seek to be an example to nonbelievers or our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Our attitude is a factor that makes a big impression on those who cross our paths each day. When faced with confrontation, our self-control says a lot about the love of God; therefore, we must be cautious not to act or speak out of bitterness. Instead, we will turn to the Holy Spirit and ask for the wisdom to handle conflict. We will remain patient in frustrating moments, just as God has been patient with our wandering hearts since the beginning of time.

Culture today suggests that sexual immorality and greed are normal and acceptable. Wrong! This could not be further from the truth. In order to be considered God's holy people, we must live holy lives. Holiness and impurity cannot live together. Impurity lives in the dark, whereas the saints live in the light. If you are struggling with these sins, repent today! God can restore your heart and your mind.

Anger is a dangerous emotion when allowed control. When observing our day, numerous small details cause frustration. We are displeased with our morning routine or annoyed by traffic. We are frustrated when we run late or have to wait in line for coffee. Although these seem like minimal irritations, they build up to become dangerous to our mental health. Before we know it, we are mad all the time; every moment of the day. Paul tells us we should work quickly to resolve our anger. Anger prompts us to act out of character and leads to sin. We will lay the burden of anger down and lean on the Holy Spirit for guidance.

Why do we rejoice? We rejoice because we are filled with joy. When we are overcome with happiness at our circumstances, we are filled with joy. As believers in Jesus Christ, we are filled with joy because not only have we been set free from sin today, we are anticipating our Savior's return. Therefore, our rejoicing will not last just for a day – it will continue evermore. Praise God!

The Devil enjoys it when we whisper behind each other's backs. Gossip produces anger, sorrow, and violence. We hurt one another when we say hateful things or share personal secrets. We stir up anger which leads to violence when we share false information. Instead, we will focus on our walk to righteousness and share the Good News concerning salvation and our loving Heavenly Father. We want to share hope with our broken world and stop evil in its tracks.

As believers, we thank God for sending his Son to set us free from our sins. Our sin held us captive. But through Christ's death and resurrection, he triumphed and defeated darkness. Because of this triumph, we rejoice and are able to share Him with others. The next time you see someone struggling, tell them how Jesus Christ triumphed over the grave and ask them if they want to be introduced to this savior.

It's easy to become a busybody without realizing it. We have access to the details of a person's life through social media, national news, or small-town gossip. We feel we have valuable information to share when, in reality, we are only causing trouble. We unintentionally spread rumors powerful enough to create division, break a heart, or destroy a friend's reputation. We must remain alert to the power of gossip and focus on the work at hand. God needs us to actively spread the Gospel, not harmful details regarding a person's life.
