Two days ago, I had a small but significant encounter that reminded me that humanity still exists. I had left my purse at the BWD window while doing a transaction, and it wasnโt until I got home that I realized it was missing.
Shortly after, a new number called me. On the other end, someone explained that my purse had been found and surrendered to the staff. The staff started apologizing for opening it, as they had needed to check for identification to confirm ownership. I reassured them that it was perfectly fine and expressed my gratitude that someone had taken the trouble to return it.
The staff said, โYes maโam. Thankfully, they left us the purse. You can claim it anytime when youโre free.โ
Previously, I had been feeling so saddened by the news, as it constantly informs us of no good like bullying, killings, and tragedies happening as if they were normal. ๐ฅ You just feel afraid to go out. ๐ฌYet, this small act of kindness reminded me that goodness still exists in the world.
โThank you, Lord. In a world often focused on selfishness and materialism, humanity still exists.โ
To the person who found my purse and handed it over to the staff, may you be blessed. Your honesty and kindness have touched me more than words can express. Thank you for reminding me that goodness and compassion still thrive in our world.
