Held on the 23rd of June 2022, the 67th Commencement Exercises of the graduates from the School of Nursing. With multitudinous graduates, alongside are NURSCENE'S officers. They are the few people who have molded NURSCENE to what it is now, being able to handle their NURSCENE responsibilities while also juggling their academic pursuits, which was hard. Nevertheless, they were able to push through with it! It may have been a harrowing journey ever since they started. It became more challenging when the pandemic began two years ago—where there were a lot of adjustments made in terms of learning, but that did not hinder all of them from becoming great and competent future nurses.

With that, your NURSCENE Family is proud of you! You have become one of our inspirations to keep striving with our nursing journey, no matter what comes our way! You made us believe we can handle it and go beyond because you can, and you did. Rest assured that you will leave our little family in good hands, and we will continue to bring great things to NURSCENE just as you did. As you finish off your college journey, a new season awaits, and we are here silently cheering for your future endeavors. We know you will be successful nurses who will bring many changes in health care and your patients' lives. May your touch of care, comfort, and compassion to patients be a blessing to give hope and change lives! ❤🎉✨

Raising awareness of the child sexual abuse occurring worldwide and giving survivors and victims of abuse hope is one of the messages that Nurscene wants to convey for the month of February. No child should suffer in silence and cry in darkness. If you are suffering from, or have survived abuse, please don't like feel like you're alone.

𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐓 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐂
𝚋𝚢 𝙰𝚍𝚊𝚗𝚊𝚒 𝙵𝚊𝚢𝚎 𝙱𝚊𝚜𝚒𝚝𝚊𝚘

Many things happened during this pandemic, but a declining number of people being sexually abused and exploited is not one of them.

UNICEF has even come so far as to dub our beloved country as the “global epicenter of the live-stream sexual abuse trade” in early 2021. Families have now resorted to easy money because of worsening poverty. It is alarming that the place we are supposed to call “home” is the same hell where you lose your dignity and virtue in life as a child.

The internet has never been a safe place, that it become more terrifying now that we live through it 24/7. We should find time to observe the people around us because we never know what happens behind closed doors. The perpetrator could be your childhood friend, your friendly- timid neighbor, or that one jeepney passenger that always seems to be on edge during the drive home. If you ever contact things like these, refuse to be silent. The report button is always available on every social media platform and police hotline.

A SINGLE TAP IS ALL IT TAKES TO SAVE A LIFE.

To the people who have fought with their blood, sweat, and tears for freedom, we say this with respect. YOU ARE NOT WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST. No matter how chaotic the past has been, the future is a clean, fresh, wide-open slate. YOU ARE NOT YOUR PAST HABITS. You are not the same person who cursed silently at the wind with muffled screams every night before drifting to sleep, wishing that by some miracle, you will not have to wake in the morning to stand in front of a camera to survive. YOU ARE NOT HOW OTHERS TREATED YOU. You are who you are and what you think you are. You are a warrior who has fought countless monsters to reach the light. YOU ARE MADE TO BE LOVED. If we learned anything from all the death that we have mourned, it taught us that life is short. WE ALL DESERVE TO BE HAPPY.

‼️ Trigger warning: Sexual abuse and exploitation ‼️

About 7,000,000 children are sexually abused every year in the Philippines. More than 70% of sexually abused children are between 10 and 18 years old. Cases of child sexual abuse are one of the most common issues that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has to handle after abandonment and neglect.

Nurscene stands for zero tolerance for sexual abuse and exploitation. In lieu of this, here are ways to prevent child abuse and educate the public regarding the trauma that this may cause, especially on the victim.

Valentine's day has been associated with flowers, letters, chocolates, and romantic dates. Beyond that, it also marks the feast of St. Valentine, who is said to have been the first person to write a "valentine" greeting. According to The History Channel, before his death, he was able to write his beloved a letter signed "From your Valentine" which is still a common expression today.

Tonight's entry for our Valentine's Day Special is a heartfelt poem by 𝗚𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗮. 💗
