ECOLOGICAL RETREAT (General Assembly)
-held at Camp John Hay last Sept. 11, 2011, wherein the members of Ecolodians had an ecowalk and ecological retreat, a reflection and expression of gratitude for God's creation. The members were divided into teams, passing through obstacles along the ecotrail, developing the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie. MAKE YOUR OWN STATEMENT
T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
- "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." This is the current statement shirt of the organization. This activity involved creating designs of your own giving a statement towards the environment, encouraging you to express what you want to do for the environment and sharing your idea to others. The winning design will be the next statement shirt of the organization. KRUSADA KALINGA: ADOPT A COMMUNITY-TRASH TO CASH
-held at Lourdes Extension Barangay for three Sunday afternoons: Sept. 18, Sept. 25, and Oct. 9, 2011. The organization, in partnership with Imelda Village Livelihood Organization, conducted this activity for the purpose of informing mothers from financially incapacitated families on how they can earn income from trash such as newspapers and cellophanes, using these materials to make flowers that can be sold in the market. During the activity, the officers and covs ( corps volunteers) served as babysitters to enable the mothers to focus on the activity. Games and prizes were given to the children and the mothers were very grateful of the knowldege they have gained to make a living.
