TINGOG LCCians!
“Voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another, this country, and this world.” Sharon Salzberg
We all have a part in shaping the world we live in, and our voices matter. Vote. For yourself, for your family, for your community, for your country.
With that, The Student Government of La Consolacion College of Bais City, is launching the “National Mock Elections: Tingog LCCians” for the 2022 National Elections on April 4, 11, 18 and 25, the polling place will be at the ABM room in LCC Senior High Building.
This initiative is primarily done to inform citizens of the institutions’ initial preferences for the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and Senatorial position and to encourage students to be socially aware in order for them to electively take part in preserving our democracy’s foundation.
LCCians, may we embody a citizen who votes to preserve and strengthen our nation and citizen’s state with our democratic power. Now is our opportunity to choose the path we wish to take; may we vote wisely.

In light of recent events, we realize that only Almighty God can reconcile the conflicting parties and stop the violence and bloodshed in the country.
Prayer is much needed for families of those who lost their loved ones. May the Lord protect their hearts, minds, and souls from hatred and aggressive decisions. We would like to call everyone to join us in interceding in prayer on behalf of Russia and Ukraine. We need to join together and ask God to intervene in the lives of leaders and people across these nations.
Let us pray,
O Lord God of infinite mercy, we humbly implore You to look down on the nations now engaged in war. Do not count Your people’s sins against them, but grant them true repentance, that the lusts of the human heart may be conquered by Your Spirit of gentleness and righteousness. Look in mercy on those immediately exposed to peril. Comfort the prisoners, relieve the sufferings of the wounded, and show mercy to the dying. According to Your good and gracious will, remove the causes and occasions of this war, and restore peace among the nations; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

Love sees no gender, no religion, no nationality. Love is the greatest gift we can give to anyone. We Love, without set conditions. We love, knowing the real someone, and loving them anyways. We love, without expecting anything in return, We love, more of a behavior than a feeling.

According to Holly Lebowitz Rossi, There are four kinds of Love to Celebrate on Valentine’s Day. If we limit ourselves to defining “love” in the romantic sense, we will have failed to embrace the full potential of the multi-dimensional feeling of deep, abiding care. Among the many types of love, these four stand out as worthy of celebration on Valentine’s Day, right there alongside the kind that comes with hugs and kisses, flowers and chocolate.

1) Affectionate Love
Affection is a powerful kind of love, it’s the kind of love we feel for our friends. In an affectionate relationship, we see and accept each other for who we are, appreciate our strengths, and support each other through challenges.

2) Self-Love
Please don’t confuse self-love with selfishness or narcissism. Too often, we think that to love means to love another person. But how can we show someone else a kindness we aren’t able to summon for ourselves? Showing love, compassion and gentleness to ourselves is the foundation of a positive, love-filled life.

3) Unconditional Love
Unconditional love is perhaps the goal of all the other types of love, as well as a type of love in and of itself. In unconditional love, we are accepting, non-judgmental, curious and welcoming to the fully authentic versions of our beloved. Whether we are parents, grown children, spouses, partners, friends, coworkers or simply people who share the planet with each other, we can all benefit from starting every interaction with the premise that each person is worthy of pure, unconditional love.

4) Romantic Love
We can’t leave out the star of the Valentine’s Day greeting card show, can we? Romantic love is a profound combination of physical attraction and emotional connection. At its best, it is unconditional and involves two people who each love and value themselves as well. There’s a reason human history is replete with songs and poems about the beauty of romantic love—it’s truly a wonder to behold.

Love is a gift. It’s also a challenge. This Valentine’s Day, let us try to take a moment to reflect on the different ways love reverberates through our life—and look ahead to new ways it can blossom within us, each and every day.
