On November 27 at 2:00 pm, students from the University of San Jose - Recoletos (USJ-R), Balamban Campus, took part in an organized earthquake drillโ€”briefly pausing classes as alarms signaled the start of the exercise.

Students quickly performed the โ€œduck, cover, and holdโ€ procedure before evacuating to designated safety areas under the guidance of faculty and safety officers.

The drill aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness on campus and ensure that students know how to respond calmly and efficiently during seismic emergencies.

On behalf of the hearts of the Josenians, the University of San Jose - Recoletos (USJ-R) Balamban Campus extends its support through the efforts of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) 10th Congress, the CAT Unit 1, and the faculty and staffโ€”not only by joining hands to clean and restore the campus grounds that were severely flooded during the Typhoon Tino incident, but also by delivering relief goods to those affected.

Following the tragedy of Typhoon Tino, which left behind not only damaged surroundings but also a scarred community, the affected areas continue to rise, rebuild, and find hope once more. This act of solidarity reflects the true spirit of being a Josenianโ€”to serve not only the school, but the entire community as proud Cebuanos.
