15 AREAS IN CENTRAL VISAYAS NOW UNDER YELLOW CATEGORY AHEAD OF ELECTION
JUST IN: At least 15 local government units in Central Visayas Region 7 have been moved from the Green Category to the Yellow Category by the Regional Joint Security Control Center (RJSCC).
Seven of these areas are from Cebu, including Cebu City, Mandaue City, Balamban, Daanbantayan, Argao, San Fernando, Dalaguete, and Dumanjug. The remaining eight are from Bohol, namely Tagbilaran City, San Miguel, Buenavista, Trinidad, Ubay, Inabanga, and Tubigon.
Atty. Francisco Pobe, director of the Commission on Elections in Region 7, confirmed that the recommendation for the status change was approved during the RJSCC meeting on April 28. This decision was based on the validation and recommendation of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and local police, as affirmed by the regional directors.
