A slice of carrot cake and matcha to end the work week.
The carrot cake was soft, moist, not too sweet, and the creamy frosting balanced every bite. Pairing it with matcha was the perfect combo. It’s a little earthy, sweet, and exactly the kind of combo I needed before the weekend.

Sometimes, the best eatinarary stops are the quiet onesβ€”good dessert, good matcha, and a little pause before the weekend begins.

Angelique’s handcrafted ice cream 🍨 has been one of my favorite sweet treats ever since I first tried it during Tahum 2024. Whenever I pass by SM, I always make sure to grab a cup.

If you’re visiting, I highly recommend trying their Strawberry and Vanilla Biscoff flavors. This cup is only Php 200 β€” definitely worth it!

You can get them at Theo’s Restaurant β€’ Bakery in SM City Iloilo.

The YAKAP Program is PhilHealth’s expanded primary care package that replaces and improves the previous Konsulta program. It provides PhilHealth members and their dependents with accessible and comprehensive outpatient healthcare services.

In Iloilo City, the program is implemented in line with the Universal Health Care (UHC) Act or Republic Act No. 11223, which aims to ensure equal access to quality and affordable healthcare for all Filipinos.

According to data from the City Health Office (CHO), 15,569 beneficiaries and dependents have registered under the program as of 2025, while 3,990 have already availed themselves of healthcare services through their first patient encounter.

Under YAKAP, beneficiaries can access free consultations, essential laboratory tests, and outpatient medicines, including maintenance medications worth up to β‚±20,000 annually through the Guaranteed Access to Medicines (GAMOT) benefit.

The program is further supported by the city’s free medicine initiative in pharmacies located across the nine district health centers, where patients can also receive essential medicines at no cost.

Reset and recharge this weekend with a relaxing escape at π’π©πš π‘π’π―π’πžπ«πš.

It was my first time trying their Swedish Massage, and since I wasn’t sure which treatment to book, I asked the therapist for a recommendation. She suggested the Swedish Massage, perfect for easing tension and helping the body fully relax.

Before the session started, I was welcomed with a refreshing iced calamansi tea and given a locker key. Inside the locker were a robe and slippers, making it easy to settle in comfortably before the treatment. After changing, my therapist escorted me to the massage room to begin the session.

The ambiance immediately felt calming. The room had warm lighting, with most of the space softly dimmed β€” just enough light to create a relaxing atmosphere without feeling too exposed, especially for conscious spa-goers. Even the room temperature was perfectly balanced: cool and comfortable without being too cold.

The massage started from my feet, then moved to my legs, back, arms, and finally my head. I appreciated how attentive the therapist was, checking from time to time if the pressure was still comfortable. I also liked how the extra lights were turned off once I was in a supine position, making the experience feel more private and relaxing.

Overall, the experience was soothing and restorative. My back pain noticeably eased after the session, and I’m already looking forward to trying their other massage treatments soon.
