𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝘆𝗮𝘄?

As examinations unfold this week, the 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 extends its heartfelt good luck to all students. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹. We need to get ready to 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 — not as a real fighter but as an 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿.

Exams are not simply about answering questions, but about demonstrating one’s hard work, preparation, and determination. Having a low score doesn't mean you're terrible in terms of academics — there's always a reason for that. Chances are everywhere, the best view comes after the hardest climb. So keep climbing — one page at a time. No pressure, just progress — every small step counts. As you enter the classroom, may you remember this gentle reminder: breathe, believe, and always do your best.

Remember to prepare well, bring your essentials, complete your reviewers, and carry with you the encouragement of loved ones.

𝗔𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗢𝗕𝗡𝗛𝗦-𝗝𝗛𝗦 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸

To enthusiastically welcome the month of August, the City of Balanga National High School - Junior High School conducted its weekly Flag Raising Ceremony today, Monday, August 4, 2025. The event was made successful through the cooperation of educators, learners, and school personnel.

This week’s value virtue, 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙮, was emphasized by 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝘾. 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞, reminding everyone of its importance in both academic and personal life.

The ceremony also marked the official beginning of 𝘽𝙪𝙬𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙖, with this year's theme: "𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙖𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙞𝙠𝙖: 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙖."

𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙯 took the opportunity to announce the upcoming initiatives of the YES-O Club, aiming to keep students informed and engaged in meaningful environmental activities.

Following this, recognition was given to selected students from each grade level as "𝙃𝙪𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙜-𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙡." The awarding was led by 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘼𝙣𝙣 𝙂. 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙟𝙤, 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, who read the citations and names of the awardees.

To conclude the ceremony, 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙧. 𝙅𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙧 𝙂. 𝙙𝙚 𝙂𝙪𝙯𝙢𝙖𝙣 delivered a heartwarming speech, officially closing the first Flag Raising Ceremony of August with inspiring words.

Sa bawat salitang ating binibigkas, sa bawat titik na ating sinusulat, nananatiling buhay ang diwa ng pagiging Pilipino. Sa buwang ito, ating ipagbunyi ang Wikang Filipino — ang puso ng ating kultura, ang haligi ng ating pagkakakilanlan.🇵🇭

Ang 𝑩𝒖𝒘𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒊𝒌𝒂 ay hindi lamang selebrasyon ng salita, kundi paggunita sa kasaysayan, pagmamalasakit sa bayan, at pagbabalik tanaw sa ating pinagmulan. Sa bawat tula, awit, kasuotan, at sining—naipapakita natin ang yaman ng ating kultura at ang kahalagahan ng ating pagkakaisa bilang isang lahi.

Ayon nga kay Dr. Jose Rizal, “𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭 𝐩𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐚.” Ito ay isang paalala sa atin na ang ating wika ay hindi lamang simpleng kasangkapan sa pakikipag-usap, kundi ito ay sagisag ng ating dangal, pagkakakilanlan, at kalayaan.

Kaya naman, ang 𝑆𝑢𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑒 𝑆𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑟𝑦 𝐿𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑟 𝐺𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 (𝑺𝑺𝑳𝑮) ng 𝐂𝐎𝐁𝐍𝐇𝐒 ay buong pusong nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2025. Sa adhikaing mapanatili at mapalalim ang pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino, patuloy naming isusulong ang pagkakaroon ng makabayang kamalayan sa bawat kabataang Pilipino.

𝗖𝗢𝗕𝗡𝗛𝗦 - 𝗝𝗛𝗦 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 | 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 30, 2025

Standing united under one flag, with pride in our hearts and honor in our minds. The third Flag Raising Ceremony was successfully conducted at City of Balanga National High School - Junior High School.

The Flag Raising Ceremony was held with the participation of school heads, teachers, students, Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), and other school personnel. A meaningful gathering that deepens the spirit of nationalism, unity, and discipline.

English Teacher, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗖. 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼 shared moral values focusing on the importance of 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆 and 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 to guide students in their daily lives.

The 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚) 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 Janina Kaye Pua and James Angeles presented the activities and competitions to be carried out in celebration of the school’s 19𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 July 7, 2025. Efforts will be initiated to conduct meaningful and amazing activities igniting our school spirit and passion.

To close the ceremony, the compassionate 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗩, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗚. 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻 delivered an inspiring message in honor of the upcoming anniversary.

Once again, we affirm that unity and respect for the flag are foundations of a strong school and nation. A meaningful start to the week—carrying with us dignity, discipline, and love for our country.

As part of the Founding Anniversary celebration, 𝗖𝗢𝗕𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, prepared multiple contests to showcase the talents, creativity, and knowledge of our students from 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡.

📢 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 - 𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 | COBNHS Adopts New Official SSLG Logo: A Symbol of Unity, Leadership, and Cultural Pride

Following the unification of the Junior High School and Senior High School student governments into one SSLG body, the City of Balanga National High School (COBNHS) has taken another meaningful step in building its identity—the formal adoption of the official SSLG logo, through Resolution No. 2, s. 2025.

The new logo, crafted through a consultative and participatory process, reflects the unified SSLG’s mission, cultural heritage, and the spirit of learner empowerment. It was carefully chosen by SSLG officers and student representatives to represent the values of leadership, service, academic excellence, and Filipino identity.

Key Symbolic Elements of the SSLG Logo:

🔸 Central Figures (Red, Blue, Green) – Learners of diverse backgrounds uniting in action, growth, and leadership.
🔸 Book with Podium – Represents Education and Leadership, and highlights academic excellence and the learners’ voice and representation in school governance.
🔸 Three Stars – Symbolizing unity among JHS, SHS, and the school community.
🔸 Laurel Wreath – Representing honor and achievement.
🔸 Banga (Clay Pot) – A nod to Balanga’s name and heritage, symbolizing resilience and identity.
🔸 Brown and Gold Background – Reflects the noble mission of the SSLG and the richness of learner leadership.
🔸 Year "2025" – Marks the year of leadership and service for the current officers.
🔸 Baybayin Inscriptions – Featuring “SSLG” (ᜐᜐᜎᜄ) and three key leadership mantras:

Mamuno (ᜋᜋᜓᜈᜓ) – This emphasizes leadership — being a role model and making decisions that benefit the student body. SSLG officers are expected to lead with integrity, vision, and responsibility.

Maglingkod (ᜋᜄ᜔ᜎᜒᜅ᜔ᜃᜓᜇ᜔) – This highlights the servant-leader mindset. Leaders are not above others; they are there to serve their fellow learners, listen to concerns, and act in the interest of the majority.

Gumabay (ᜄᜓᜋᜊᜌ᜔) – This shows the role of SSLG in mentoring, supporting, and empowering other students. It means being someone who offers direction and encouragement in both academic and personal growth.

This is not just a design — it's a symbolic statement of unity, responsibility, and cultural consciousness that will appear on all SSLG communications, uniforms, certificates, and official materials.

With the adoption of this official logo, COBNHS continues to champion a vision of inclusive, culturally rooted, and service-oriented student leadership. It complements the unified structure created under Resolution No. 1, s. 2025, forming a strong foundation for this year’s SSLG to lead with clarity, pride, and purpose.

The SSLG encourages all COBNHS students to embrace this emblem as a badge of student pride and leadership that reflects who we are and what we stand for.
