𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘏𝘢𝘴 𝘉𝘦𝘨𝘶𝘯.

Carrying its yearly battle cry, “Pursue your Passion at Pers,” the joint qualifying examination for TRC Extra and The Perspective kicked off on July 25, 2026, at the Audio Visual Room (AVR).

Applicants showcased their skills in writing, illustrating, layouting, photojournalism, and radio broadcasting, powered by lectures from publication alumni and journalism teachers.

Successful examinees will receive further announcements and updates through their registered email addresses in the coming week.

Election season is officially underway as the Supreme Student Government (SSG) launched its Grade 12 cluster elections today, July 24.

Shaking up the traditional election format after a single political party held dominance for four consecutive years, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) introduced a new cluster system designed to select two party presidents.

Following the official announcement of results this evening, Joaquin Dulot of 12 STEM–Capricorn and Martina Rodriguez of 12 ABM–Carnegie emerged victorious, securing the presidential seats for their respective clusters.

The wait is over! Here are the official details for the TRC: Extra and The Perspective Qualifying Examination 2026.

📅 Date: July 25, 2026 (Saturday)
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Venue: TRC Audio Visual Room
👕 Attire: Decent civilian clothing
🪪 Bring: School ID

📝 Important Reminders:
There are 11 categories available in both English and Filipino.

✅ ALL applicants are REQUIRED to complete TWO (2) outputs:
• News Writing (Mandatory)
• One (1) category of your choice

🎒 What to Bring (Based on Category):

✍️ Writers: Ballpen/pencil and notebook (papers and fact sheets will be provided).
📷 Photojournalists: Your own camera (mobile phone, digital camera, DSLR, etc.) and ballpen.
🎨 Editorial Cartoonists: Pencil and eraser (Oslo paper will be provided).
💻 Layout Artists: Laptop, charger, mobile data, and extension cord.
🎙️ Radio Broadcasters: Ballpen and pencil for broadcasters; laptop for radio technicians.

🥪 Don't forget to bring your own snacks, lunch, and water tumbler.

📧 Results will be released via email within the following week. Applicants for Radio Broadcasting will undergo a separate second-call screening.
