AlingVicky’s Story

“Delicious is something that I really love. Even as a kid, something that satisfies my taste buds pleases me and when I had my own family, I love seeing my children enjoying my meals.” This is where Vicky Hernandez’s passion for cooking has started.

Aling Vicky’s Homemade Delicacies started when Aling Vicky’s daughter who used to work in the BPO industry in Manila gave a cassava cake to her teammates as a gift in 2008. Her daughter’s office mates would normally request for it as they loved it so they then asked her to sell it to them instead . So whenever her daughter comes home to Batangas Aling Vicky prepares a few pieces for her daughter to sell and it’s always sold out.

She started experimenting and came out with a variety of delicacies to sell in her town in Balayan, Batangas. “I always thank GOD for the recipes and skills that He has given me. I owe it to Him.”

Her big break happened when she joined a well- known milk company’s national competition -“Alaska Bentables” in 2013. She was humbled and privileged to win the 2nd place that paved the way for her delicacies to get featured in a newspaper (The Philippine Star); be featured in an agricultural magazine and be interviewed in a TV show in Studio 23 (Biyaheng Bulilit).
