CINCO Resort, Restobar & Event Place is opening the stage for a four-month Battle of the Bands like no other, and Kerewe’s right in the middle of it.

Been seeing a lot of hate reactions about the fiesta and the activities. I get it. I’m not a fan of this year's guest bands either. Well, s**t, it’s not always about you or me or many of us adult people...it’s for the kids. And from what I’ve seen the past several nights, the kids are having a blast.

A San Luis native released an EP last month, and I somehow slept on it—unforgivable. Her voice brings back that late ‘90s to early 2000s nostalgia, like Hoku and Lene Marlin had a modern revival.

It’s been a challenging year, full of uncertainty about my path as an artist. After releasing four singles (Tabing Ilog, Sa Tabi Mo, Takot, and Blame It On The Beer), I found myself questioning what comes next. While those songs still resonate with me, they were written during my high school years (except Blame It On The Beer), and I’ve grown since then.

I wanted to create music that felt more true to who I am now, songs that are honest, raw, and reflect the kind of music a 20+ year old LU would make. I’m so grateful for the support of my amazing friends—Sab, Anwyll, Tavin, Lui, Soph, Ango, Danny, Ders, Calvin, Miggy, Ox and friends who encouraged me to trust my instincts and pursue this EP.

We spent the past few months bringing this project to life, and I couldn’t have done it without my producers Anwyll Garcia and Tavin Villanueva, and especially Sir Monong and Kwarto Studio for helping us record the tracks.
