Wishing Cagayan Valley Conservancy, Inc.'s very own Vice President Cherry Ponce, master outdoorsman Ranger Marquez and the local guides all the best as they attempt to summit Mt. Dos Cuernos, Isabela's highest peak, in the coming days.
Regarded as one of the harder climbs in the country, Mt. Dos Cuernos was first summited by homegrown mountaineers in 1983, followed by only 5 other instances before the current year, the last one dating back to 2010 during the MFPI Annual Congress, in honor of mountaineer and master cave photographer Chang Guzman of the Sierra Madre Outdoor Club. Chang was part of the maiden exploration to Mt. Dos Cuernos.
